I picked out my ring back in March. It is a double halo radiant cut micro pave 3.25 carat ring. When I saw it I was immediately drawn to it. I knew it was the one after months and months of looking with my boyfriend and always being disappointed. I went to the store to revisit the ring several times just to make sure I loved it and I do! On my last visit I took a picture of the ring and shared it with my two close friends to get their opinion. (Even though deep down inside I still would’ve wanted it regardless of what their response was.) Well, they both were in love with it…however, one of my good friends decided that she liked it too and decided to show her fiance. In result, they went to a jeweler and pretty much had the same ring made up for her. I was so disappointed and hurt. I had no idea what to say to her when she told me this, so I said nothing. To make matters worse she ended up getting engaged before me. There is a little difference in our rings; mine is a double halo and bigger. (Hers is .75 ct) Should I try and find another ring even though I am in love with the one I have or should I just keep the one I originally chose?
Thanks for your opinion’s bees!!!!

Yours is going to be differnt b/c you have a double halo! Don’t worry, no one is going to think you’re coping her. Halos are a very popular setting now and they’re beautiful! Congrats and good luck!

First of all, I think as your friend, I would have asked your permission before I went to get a copy cat ring.
What would I do now? Keep the ring I love. Besides, yours is bigger, which makes it different and not exactly the same.
Good luck !

No one is going to think you copied her. Halos are very trendy right now.

If you love it, I say get it anyway.

Stick with the original. Yours is significantly different in that you have a double halo & is bigger.
PLUS, seriously??! Unless you spend 24/7 with your friend, no one is going to look at your rings and go OMG YOU COPIED FRIEND! BAD!

This is the ring you’re going to have your ENTIRE LIFE. This is the ring you’re going to show your children–and your children’s children–when you tell the story of your proposal. Do you really think the story of how you “copied” your friend is going to last that long? Heck, do you even think your FRIENDSHIP with this friend is going to last that long? Get the ring you love, for sure. 🙂
