@FromA2B2013:  It IS important to him to keep this tradition going.  He’s been saying that; he’s just been saying it in Man so it was unclear.

@FromA2B2013: Forgive me, but I don’t understand how multiple, extended family members having the same name is a particular drawback.  But that’s just me.

I dunno. It should be like choosing any other baby name I think. If both parents don’t agree, on to the next one! When I was pregnant with my oldest it took a loooong time before we could both decide on a name for her. It got to the point where I threw the baby name book at his head and told him I was no longer speaking to him until he picked a name lol. I like your compromise idea. I think he should be a little more sensitive to the fact that the name associated with his tradition would stir up a lot of controversy/drama on your side of the family. The baby would be just as much a part of your family as his…and like that pp said, it shouldn’t be a deal breaker. But I mean that towards him. He should be just as willing to compromise on your future baby’s name as you are.  and who knows, maybe you will luck out and have all girls! Lol
