Does anyone have any tips from their wedding for how to keep the reception lively?
The reception is starting around 6:00 and we’re serving dinner, doing our first dance, Bride/Father and Groom/Mother dance and then dancing all night with everyone…Did you do anything unique and fun that you wouldn’t mind sharing??
Was your DJ very interactice?
Did you play games?
Did you have fun iighting?
How creative did you get? 😉

@Tallulah_: We had a great DJ who was interactive and had us play games (because he knew that Darling Husband and I aren’t great dancers and don’t love dancing) – it definitely kept the reception going! People loved the silly games we were playing (the shoe game took the cake!). 🙂

I think an interactive DJ, good music and alcohol are enough to keep it lively. But even moreso I think it really depends on the crowd. The “boring” weddings I’ve been to seemed to be that way because the families and their guests were just more reserved, less outgoing people.
