A friend of mine was ringless the other day and she had a rash on her finger. She said that her rings gave her the rash, I asked her if she took it off at all and she said NO! I wasn’t surprised bc I kow a lot of people that don’t take their rings off at all. My rings are off my finger more than they are on, I only wear them if I’m going out of the house. I don’t shower, clean, cook or excersice with them. I’m curious to know if other people agree with me or if I’m just weird and I should be wearing my rings more often LOL!

@drainalove: I put mine on after I get ready for work… wear them to work and all night. I will work out in it because I don’t want to look single in the gym.. haha! And the diamonds sparkle SO much under the lights! On the weekend or a day off I don’t put them on unless I leave the house. I also take them off to cook, clean, wash my hands (sometimes), or put on lotion.

@drainalove: I don’t wear mine in the shower or while sleeping. It’s on before I leave the house and usually comes off when I get home because it’s a high setting, and I don’t want to bang it around all day. I don’t know HOW people never take it off.

I never wear mine or so it seems….I have to remind myself to put it on if we are going out somewhere that I would like to wear it.

I take mine off when cooking, cleaning, showering and sleeping. I would think that the ring would get pretty gross if you never take it off

I’m like you, I only wear my ring when I go out. It’s a bit on the big side and is set quite high so I think it would be a pain to sleep and shower with it. i’m a Neonatal nurse so I can’t even wear my ring to work, I feel like I almost never even wear it! It makes me nervous taking it off so often but I’m really careful with it.

I only wear mine when I’m out of the house too. She is safely put on her stand when I get home.

I wear mine all the time. If I started taking them off, I’d either lose them or forget to wear them.

I would wear mine all the time if I could (except when I shower). However, while at work a couple weeks ago, one of my special education students had a meltdown and became physically agressive and a diamond came out of my ring. So I won’t wear my engagement ring at work anymore. So basically I only get to wear it on the weekend!

Most days, I just wear my wedding band. Before we got married, I felt guilty for taking off my engagement ring. But even though it’s a pretty modest ring and suits me perfectly, I still don’t like wearing it all the time. I don’t wear much jewelry, and it’s the first thing I take off when I get home and settle in for the night. My band is very simple and beautiful and doesn’t get in the way. I love wearing it by itself, and I don’t mind keeping it on when I’m at home relaxing because it’s so light and delicate. Now I usually just save my engagement ring for special occasions. Or for when I’m visiting my mom and she asks where it is. 🙂 She loves the bling!

I love my ring and never want to take it off! I do, however, remove it to wash dishes and to shower. I worry sometimes though that if I take it off so often I might lose it or forget to put it on.
Once I had it off to do dishes and went out to a meeting after and I totally forgot to put it back on. I felt SO naked without it and had to take my promise ring off the other hand to replace it for a while.

I’m amazed that people have their ring off so much…I hate not having it on!! I’ve been taking it off for work – I’m a nurse and I don’t want the hand sanitizer to damage it. Also, I work in a downtown hospital, so I just don’t feel that safe wearing it (not like it’s huge or anything, but I’m paranoid!).
I do take it off when I’m cleaning because of the cleaning products, and when I’m doing something where getting really dirty, like potting plants or mixing meat. Why take it off to shower? I don’t think daily activities are going to make a ring very dirty. I’m more afraid of losing track of it to be honest. You can always get it cleaned! Besides, I want to show it off!! I tend to forget to wear it if I take it off too much!!

I don’t wear mine while I’m at home.. I don’t want to bang it around, and I know I’m engaged and so does anyone else who comes over. If we’re having a lot of people over, or if I come home from the store and I’m not doing anything messy I might leave it on until I go to bed. It also doesn’t go on my finger until I’m showered and my hair and makeup is done.
I do wear my RHR allll the time. it lays flush against my finger, and doesn’t ever get in the way- so sometimes I even forget it’s there! Plus, I’ve been wearing it for 2 years, so my ringer has a notch in it from where the ring is. I love in the summer time when I get a tan line around my finger!

I keep a ring box in my bathroom and a dish in the kitchen. I don’t shower or cook in it. I do wear mine when I exercise. When I get married, i will ALWAYS have my band on but will wear my diamond only when going out, I imagine.

I used to wear mine all the time, including for sleep, showering, etc.
however, I’ve recently taken on the habit of removing the rings when I get home and just wearing a more comfortable band around the house. it’s like the ring equivalent of sweat pants!
