Hi there everyone, new poster here. My fiance and I are getting married In July, and it looks like I’ve narrowed it down to two places in Savannah. The Kehoe House, or the Gastonian…
Here’s the story: The Kehoe house was my first love from seeing the web site. And I reserved, for now, A Deluxe King Room. So, nothing extra fancy, but its pretty darn fancy for us. And we got a good deal, lets say, around 200 a night- about 50 bucks off the listed website price. Plus, I love Richard, the guy who took my reservation, he just seems like a great guy.
Then, I decided to call the Gastonian, and just check what the price was for their honeymoon suite. The suite that normally runs in the 400 dollar range. The woman I spoke with said in july the special is, all rooms for $199. The room, on the web site, IS ABSOLUTELY gorgeous.. there is a jacuzzi in the MIDDLE of the room. Again, I put in the reservation. For the same time.
Now, the gastonian seems a bit too good to be true. Why woulda 425 dollar room be on special for 199? Ive also read mixed reviews about the service at the Gastonian. The Kehoe househas more consistently good reviews.
So. The question is, do I go for the Bigger, massive room at the Gastonian even though im unsure about the service? Or do I stick with the Kehoe house, which I keep hearing is generally just a great place. I’d be paying the same price for either one. Anyone have any experience?
