Kennedy Blue Bridesmaid dresses, anyone order?

So did you order your Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses yet? And did you see the “try before you buy” option? My girls are going to order a mix between those two exact styles, same color. I think we might even go with the same shoes 🙂 Let me know if you had any success or if your girls ordered theirs yet!

@raisedonrobbery:  The wedding shoppe is an actualy store.  It is located in St. Paul MN.  I went there with my bridesmaids and we tried on quite a few of the Kennedy Blue dresses.  They fit nice, but I decided I did not want a chiffon dress.  Also, if you buy from them they often have sales on these dresses so I would try and buy it at that time.

I know this thread is pretty old, but I just ordered from Kennedy Blue and thought I’d add my thoughts as a Public Service Announcement to brides and wedding parties. Summary: Do not order from Kennedy Blue. Had a terrible experience (as a bridesmaid). 

Ordered a dress back in November…and the promise was that it would be delivered by February 21. The bridal party (who was scattered throughout the US) arranged for try-on meetings, etc. based on that date. Feb. 21 rolls around and…NO DRESS. I contacted them to inquire, and they pretty much said that the dress was already on its way and that it’s not that much longer, so nbd. Actually, here’s their actual email, copied and pasted below:

Hi,

The shipping date is an estimated shipping date from our designer. As we do try to get the dresses to you by that date, we also have stated on our website that there will be a slowdown in production due to Chinese New Year which generally is 1-3 weeks. This year the slowdown was minimal, however as we do ship two day priority I think the dress shipping on Feb 21st ( following a federal holiday with no mail service) should not be stressful. With the weather, the mail service and possible delays from overseas, it is very difficult to guarantee you dress will be in hand the day of the estimated ship. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. We coordinate with the designer and the production staff overseas and do our utmost to ensue all of our customers receive their dresses in a timely manner. You should receive your dress by Friday, Feb 24th.

Again, our apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Aside from the fact that they did not accept responsibility for their wrongdoing, they decided it was appropriate to tell me that their transgression “should not be stressful.” It was unprofessional of them to decide for me what is or is not stressful–especially since airplane tickets and $$$ were involved (long story short: we were obviously not able to have the try-on session in time). IT WAS STRESSFUL. Especially for the bride. 

Also, we chose Kennedy Blue partially because it seemed like a legitimate site that offered high-quality dresses. However, as you can see from their email, their dresses are just made in China. I’m wondering if it’s even MASS made, since all us girls had issues with the fit. 

As a lovely cherry on top, when the dress finally came, there was a pubic hair on it. 

I’d suggest taking your business elsewhere. Kennedy Blue is tempting because of the prices (when they have sales), but you really do get what you pay for (actually, less) and it’s simply not worth the stress and frustration.
