We have the mini one and it’s perfect for me because DH doesn’t drink coffee. I like being able to have just one cup whenever I want.

I haven’t bought one yet, so I don’t think so.  The machine is expensive, the pods are more expensive than whole beans, whole beans are fresher.  I love my 20 4 cup drip maker that’s been going 5 years and haven’t been lazy enough to go the keurig route at home.

For work on the other hand, I did get one (turned out free) for my husband cause he needed the convenience at work and it was more cost efficient than him buying coffee there.

@Sassygrn:  Keurigs are ideal for two types of households– 1) households with only one coffee drinker, and 2) households where everyone drinks a different type/brand of coffee. My Future Mother-In-Law got one for Christmas and it’s awesome. She can have her regular coffee, Future Father-In-Law has his decaf, FSIL* can have her pumpkin spice, and I can have my chocolate donut, all within about 5 minutes. They use the reusable cup with the filter, but there’s also a little mesh reusable one that I feel makes a stronger cup of coffee. If you use the reusable one with the filters, make sure your coffee is finely ground and it will be stronger.

I have a Tassimo at home and a Keurig at work, and I prefer the Tassimo. It doesn’t take as long to heat before brewing, and you can get different sizes of drinks, whereas if you adjust the cup size on the Keurig you’re really just adding more or less water and getting a different strength. I have the T20, it’s under $100.00 and I have had to replace it once but it was still under warranty. I didn’t use filtered water with that one but with my new one, I just fill the tank with our Brita thing and it seems to do the trick.

I returned mine. 1) I am the only coffee drinker in the house. 2) over time the Keurig wasbhaving out output issues- not filling up the cup, weak coffee, taking minutes to work

I love mine. It was our Christmas present from my dad. I highly recommend the V500. I did research on all the models, and that is the best one, and most cost effective in my opinion. Plus, if you buy a solofil V2 you can use K-cups with it as well as Vue cups, and you can also brew coffee grounds by using the attachment that comes with it. Definitely do your research, and I highly recommend the Vue Keurig brewers over the traditional K-cup Keurig brewers.

We have one. I don’t think it makes good coffee though — I haven’t been in love with any of the K-cups that I’ve tried.

We love ours! We got it for christmas this year and use it all the time. Plus it’s fun for when company is over and you can offer easy tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cider, etc.

Love my Keurig! I have a reusable filter cup so I buy fresh grounds which is so much cheaper than the k cups. I had my first one for a few years and it crapped out on me but I had a friend who told me just to take it to Bed bath and Beyond and get it replaced. Worked like a charm! No  questions asked or receipt needed, they just told me to pick out the same model!

@Sassygrn:  We love ours. We haven’t had any issues with ours and we’ve had it about 2 years.

eta: We have one of the Cuisinart ones that comes with the reusible K-cup. I would recommend one of these ones, because they seem to be more reliable. My parents has lasted them a good five or more years.

My brother and sister-in-law have replaced theirs a couple of times (the standard black Keurig), but they got it from Bed, Bath and Beyond, and the store just replaces it every time it breaks. They have excellent customer service.

My work had a Keurig. I hated it. You needed two of the Keurig cups to really get any potent coffee. It’s such a waste.

@Sassygrn:  thanks for making this post! It made me take the keurig off of our registry.

We have a bunn mcu keurig at work. It spews water everywhere, the coffee/tea isn’t great, and the environmental impact of all the k-cups sucks.
