We got linen suits from StudioSuits.com. Awesome product. I posted some pictures in one of my blog posts if you want to see them.

We didn’t do tuxes either, we asked the groomsmen to buy a suit.  My husband took them to one of those places where you buy 1 get 1, and they all split the cost.  The suit ended up costing less than a tux rental, and they all ended up with nice Tommy Hilfiger suits that were tailored to them.  Macy’s is a great option also, you can get a nice Michael Kors or Calvin Klein suit with alterations for around $150 during one of their sales.

Good luck!  And really?  Who couldn’t use a new suit?  Especially if the cost is the same.  Our guys were excited to get a new suit…a few of them brought up that they were relieved that they didn’t have to wear an ill-fitting tuxedo (since tux’s aren’t actually tailored to each individual).

@theresa1078: Did you post the wrong pic? The OP was looking for information on khaki suits.

@julies1949:  No, it the right pic…just showing an example of suits vs. tuxedos in general.  Most department stores and suit outlets have a variety of colors.  My point was that a tailored suit will almost always look better on the individual than a rental because rentals are usually fitted with buckles and bands…and also that a $150 suit can look pretty sharp.

It depends where you’re located really.

We’re doing the same thing – getting married on the beach (in south FL) in February and we wanted my Fiance to be in a khaki suit, then his Best Man in a khaki vest suit (the suit, minus the jacket) and then Groomsmen in a dress suit and the khaki suit pants (sleeves rolled up).  Here’s where we found ours:

Macy’s (depending on the formality)  Their Cubavera line has beautiful linen khaki suit sets in different khaki colors.

Mens Warehouse – we actually bought the suit here.  They have a few different lines in khaki (not many, but maybe 3 or 4) and we chose the Calvin Klein suit in Linen color.  (its suit fabric, but looks linen)

Good luck!!

By the way, the suit above costs just as much as it would cost to rent one.  And they get to keep a cool suit !

I got my fiance’s at Belks.  We got a khaki linen suit set for under 100.00 on sale.  Don’t have any pics but it looks great and didn’t need tailored, it was a perfect fit.  Kohls also has khaki suits.

@meerkat: hi there I am reading mixed review about studiosuits.com. Most love it, but some say the linen quality is so poor and looks bad in pictures. any input ?
