Hey ladies! Can you please “like” this facebook page?
A group of kids were banned from prom after they helped their friend tape cardboard letters to the front of the school asking his date to go to the dance with him. 🙁
The principle not only suspended the kids for 2 days, but also decided that they would not be attending their Senior Prom.

@thefuturemrsrowe: That’s horrible. I can see where schools are coming from sometimes, but really?
When I graduated we had 4 students who were not allowed to go to prom and they were even banned from walking down to accept their diploma!! It was all because they went streaking down the field wearing only jock straps and masks while the whole school was assembled on the field.
Asking someone to be their date though? That’s a pretty harsh punishment, especially since most kids only get to do prom once!!

What the hell? Seriously, there are worst problems going on at schools right now. People are getting too uptight about this stupid crap. It wasn’t like he put “Eff You Shelton High!” or anything like that. He was asking a girl to prom, which is cute. 🙂

I also agree with the some of the facebook posters abuot when they went to school principals thought this stuff was cute and funny. Wth is happening to America? Going down the crap shoot as we speak apparently.

Why do I have a feeling there may be more to this story?? Maybe I’m just cynical.

I guess there could be more to the story, but the school hasn’t said anything to deny the story. Even when interviewed, they just said that it was “dangerous” and “trespassing”.. even though, I fail to see how you can trespass on taxpayer property, they were outside!!
He is an AP student, never been in trouble. Their thing is that any kids that are suspended after April 1st are banned from prom, and since he was suspended.. he is also banned, and the principle is digging her heels in. He cleaned it up, and even offered to do community service to help keep his friends out of trouble.
I thought it was cute and romantic! We hung signs and ribbons outside the school all the time for spirit weeks.
When I was a senior, we had a middle of the night party on the roof! We got caught, but because it was basically the whole senior class, no one was suspended or banned from prom.

Knowing it, the person who was behind them getting banned either stood on the side lines dreaming that someone would ask them to dance or didn’t even go because they weren’t popular. Bad eggs. I think this is just horrible. High school is a jungle, it makes the corporate world seem tame sometimes, so yeah . . . these kids should be able to go to prom.
