We are having a cocktail party for our reception and agreed that it isn’t appropriate and they wouldn’t enjoy it either.  The only kids will be the flowergirls.

We are thinking we will be inviting children, but that means there will be about 15 kids under 5.  We’re really struggling with this because we love kids, and I think they’ll be fun to have around, but we have a couple friends who have wild kids, and let them run around and do whatever they want.  We’re especially worried that the younger kids will scream through the ceremony.

I asked Fiance what he thought about having little goody bags for them with crayons and other things, and he was worried the kids would colour on the walls and tables lol.  I’ll have to be creative when making the bags for them.  Maybe a babysitter or two would be a good idea.  Our wedding is in the afternoon though (brunch reception) so I’m not sure if parents want a day out, or if they would want to bring the kids.

The only kids I’m allowing at my wedding are FI’s nieces and nephews. Only immediate family kids. I don’t have any nieces and nephews on my side but Fiance has an older brother with two kids and older sister with three so I’m only allowing them. No one else’s.
