SO I’m helping my sister plan her wedding and the guys will be in red kilts… her wedding will be in July, and we both don’t really looove red and black for the summer, so I’m trying to ocme up with a pallet that encorporates the red but also adds some summer flare…
What do you think of this palet? Do you think it would look good all together with 3 men in red and black kilts?

I think it’s a little odd to put an orangey red, a pale pink, a rosy pink, and a maroon in the same palette. The bouquet of flowers looks okay, but I would streamline the red in the rest of the decor and pick one shade. Maybe a paler gray/silver for summer?

@stargurl101: I think the orange and pink will clash with the red. How about red, ivory (as ivory is in the tartan) and then tbh I get stuck. Tartan is difficult to work with

I would do red, super light pink, ivory and champagne.

Another suggestion I have is not to incorporate red at all and just treat the red kilts as part of the groomsmen attire which doesn’t need to be incorporated with the color palette.

Well the orange and the pink would appear in the flowers only… hmmm
What about this:
or this (does it look too winter/fall?):

my Fiance is Scottish and his tartan will be around – but it’s not ideally our colors. His tartan is dark green and value with a bit of yellow. The girls are wearing eggplant and accents are in silver

@Glasgowbound: I donno… my sister wants to encorporate the tartan… maybe tie our bouquets with it, have a sash on her dress… so I think the colours at least need to coordinate.

@stargurl101: we’re incorporating the tartan is similar ways. The guys will have cuff links in the tartan. The bouquets and boutineers will be wrapped in tartan ribbon. Fiance is still trying to figure out if the tie will be tartan or not. So accents of tartan. Dark blue and green do coordinate with the dark purple we’re using
so I agree with PP – you need colors that will coordinate with the red
