Sorry but I gotta be honest – These dresses are absolutely horrid! I don’t know why but I find both of them to be incredibly ugly. And it’s not just because they are assocaiated with Kim K. I would hate them regardless 🙁

I don’t think it’s bad mojo, I personally wouldn’t wear any celebrity-inspired dress though… not Kate or Pippa’s, or Bella Swan’s, or Kim Kardashian’s. LOL

I wouldn’t get either dress ever because they are not my style at all. The fact that they are replicas of something Kim K wore makes them even worse to me, she is my least favorite “celebrity”. I can’t stand her.

They already had this planned even before her wedding took place.

A week after the wedding they had released a promo video of the making of the replicas saying they would be available in February. I guess because they already had the agreement and probably had started production they couldn’t take it back.

Personally they’re not my style but some people might like it.

The first one is ugly, I’m sorry but it is to me, I dont like the tight shiny fitted body with the big fun bottom (which is semi cute) and that little detail on the bust.. just doesnt look right

The second one I think its cute, could use alittle bling under the bust but it looks like another dress DB has that I saw on the mannequin

Personally the first one is awful, the second is just bland. Why pay $1500 for a tulle ballgown??

I like the second dress, although it would look horrid on me.  But I wouldn’t have known that was the Kim Kardashian dress without someone telling me.  I doubt other people would know, either.  There are only so many styles of ballgowns out there…

I like the shape of the ball gown, actually. never saw her wedding but I think it’s funny they’re still rolling these out since that marriage is already over

$1500 for a dress made in China with cheap polyester – but stamped with the Vera name – when you could quite easily get a REAL silk dress for that kind of money from a less trendy/celebrity designer – seems completely outrageous, or a replica direct from China made with the same material for probably 3-400.

It seems counterintuitive to DB clientele – you go to DB or AA so that you DONT end up spending 2k on a dress (after taxes and alterations)!

I didn’t like her dresses, so there’s that.

I worked at David’s right after these gowns were announced. They were meant to give people a luxury look-alike on a budget. I agree the gowns are overwhelmingly ugly and the timing was horrible, but corporate AND Vera really did not plan on the production of the gowns lasting longer than her marriage. Originally, they were going to market it in a way similar to Kate M’s and the Twilight gown, but after the meltdown you will find they are just marketing them as Vera Wang’s. The point of David’s and AA is to give bride’s the gowns of their dreams without breaking the bank, but when an authentic new Vera is going for $6k and you can buy a VeraWhite for 1k, common sense takes over for a lot of brides. Also, you can’t alter the Vera White’s–at least DB can’t alter them.

I love poofy gowns, but I HATE her gown.  It makes it look like she has HUGE hips!
