@MrsRuby:  I think you’ll be fine.  From what I heard, as long as you cut off whatever you were taking and doing as soon as you found out, then it should be fine.  Plus, you can always talk to your OB-GYN.

I was on Lutera since August. My usual regular cycle bounced all over the place at first with two periods a month, which was normal for just starting out. I finally regulated and then missed my period in November and had it finally show up two weeks late in December. I wasn’t sure when to expect it again, if it would be on my usual schedule or start another one entirely. After 45 days of waiting, I went to family planning where I get the pills from.

The nurse said it was normal and not to worry about anything unless 2 months go by without a period. She was about to send me on my way but kept doing the math in her head and at the last minute she said she’d have me take a pregnancy test just to rule it out because she was certain I wasn’t. I took it and she came back and said she ran two tests because she couldn’t believe it. Both were positive.

She said that you can be on the pill for the first trimester and it will not harm the baby. So far I have been feeling fine, so I’m hoping all is well. My first appointment will be on Feb. 17th.
