When I went wedding dress shopping, I disocvered I had wine tastes and a beer budget. I’ve always been naturally atrracted to finer things – never purposefully though, I just seemed to always pick out the most expensive thing in the store by accident. Needless to say, I discovered very quickly that every dream dress I had was $6,000+ because I loved excellently cut biased gowns– nope, nope, nope.
I never did get to try on a bias cut gown, and I regret that horribly because I still dream about wearing one at my wedding. None of the bridal stores in a 50 mile radius carried one, and I a heart broken me had to settle for something else.
I decided the things I really wanted were:
• A low back.
• Fitted in the waste, hips, and rear.
• Absolutely no sweetheart.
• Not white.
• Covered button / no corset back.
• Nothing sparkly or blingy.
Well, turns out my dress is almost all those things – it has a sweetheart though! Actually don’t mind it. Is my dress my dream dress? Nope. Do I think it stunning and that it’s incredibly flattering? Yup.

I just want to say I love your dress, and think you look amazing in it! I nearly went with a halter gown (Eddy K EK1021), but ultimately decided on my dress because it was cheaper. So glad you’re rocking the look though!

Thank you so much! I don’t see many bees wearing halter dresses so I questioned my look for a while but I fell back in love with it once I realized that it’s what I also dreamed of and nothing else I could’ve bought would have made me equally happy. The Eddy K is gorgeous too. Looks like something I would have pinned lol but you look absolutely STUNNING in the dress you picked. It flatters your perfect figure so well, I think you made a great choice!

I thought I wanted a big princress dress and was set on this madeline gardner in particular:
But I ended up ordering this one instead and will be having my first fitting on Saturday 🙂

I wanted ball gown, no lace, no train, and blush.
I went with a-line, lace overlay, with a train, in ivory. I’m adding sleeves. 🙂
