I had one removed from my eyebrow when I was in middle school, and noticed a while ago )not sure how long, it’s been a while) that I have two cysts on my scalp. My mom had one removed from her scalp years ago, not sure if that’s relevant.
Anyway, I showed my doctor, and she said yes they are cysts, nothing to worry about, very common. They are not on my brain or anything, just under the skin of the scalp, probably in/near a hair follicle.
So they are not painful at all, and never bother me. I usually forget they are there.
Yesterday morning I woke up and one of them was really painful, which was out of the ordinary.
This morning I woke up and it’s slightly less painful but now its…god this embarasses me for some reason…draining. I am not touching it or anything, but I don’t know if this means it’s infected, or if it is resolving itself and will drain and then be gone.
Has anyone experienced this?
