I just finally got my engagement and wedding rings soldered together, and honestly they bug me now. I have a solitaire with an enhancer, and I guess I thought once they couldnt wiggle around they would look great. However, I can see the hole around the centerstone, and can see down into the ring to the other band and my skin. I guess I thought that they would sort of pinch the setting around the center stone…
this is the best picture i could get of it, but it looks a lot worse in person. I feel bad that I don’t like it… but it bugs me!
Any suggestions on how to go about fixing this? Should I just suck it up? I was thinking maybe adding a diamond band would distract from it (although 1.5 months into marriage I don’t think I’ll be asking for an anniversary ring anytime soon)

Maybe talk to the jeweler & see what they can do and/or what is their policy about “fixing” a ring if the owner isn’t happy with the work? (I don’t know what to call it other than fixing, hence the quotation marks, not being sarcastic or anything 🙂 )
ETA: FWIW, I think it’s beautiful just the way it is, but I know I obsess over small details when it comes to my ring!

If it bugs you bring it back to the jeweler and see what they can do about closing up the gaps, and explain more what you were looking for in having them soldered. Should be a pretty easy fix.

i’m sure they lined it up and soldered as close as they can but the ring is rigid and it cannot be pinched into place. ask them if they can maybe fill in the space with some gold? or get them separated and figure something else out

I’m not jeweler but I wonder if soldering them together would help?
ETA: Nevermind I skimmed and iddn’t see that they already did. I suck today

I would talkto to the jeweler if this really bothers you.
In my opinion, I think it is gorgeous the way it is. I know I can’t really see what you see, but it is such a small thing that I probably would just let go unless other people were noticing it too.
Good luck. You have a gorgeous ring regardless 😉

When they were separate were you able to pinch them together to close that “gap”? If yes, you should be able to solder it the same way. If not, would you prefer them “separated”? Maybe a second band is a good idea if it will distract you, ha ha.
The little gap would not bother me, but I would talk to jeweler and see what they can do since it bothers you.
I am sorry you do not like it so far. I recently soldered my rings, than resoldered in a different configuration and LOVE them soldered (I do have gaps in mine, but they are intentional gaps!). I have taken back all the anti-soldering comments I ever used to have as a result!

Take it back to the jeweler and see what they can do!
