Hope all is well, I’ve been MIA the last few weeks as I’ve been feeling pretty yuk. I’m about 9 weeks now, heard the heartbeat last week, so yay! I had a bladder infection for the last 2 weeks, total pain and now the morning sickness and fatigue has hit.
However, I have this strange symptom that I am bit worried/concerned about. I’ve tried looking it up online and can’t find anything which freaks me out even more.
So since I’ve been preggers, I’ve noticed that when I wash my face with warm water, take a shower, or put a warm washcloth across my forehead that I get this pressure and vague pain throughougt my forehead and behind my eyes. It’s only warm things. I mainly noticed it when I would shower and would put my face in the water, it would give me this vague peircing feeling, and then about an hour later a full blown head ache starts. I’ve tried cold water and it doesn’t happen with that. This has been going ont he last 4 weeks or more and I don’t know what kind of Dr. to see about it. Has this happened to anyone else? I go to my OB in 3 weeks so I will mention it to him then but starting to worry that I should see someone now about it?

I’m not a doctor, but I know that around that stage of my pregnancy I would also get headaches that would come in the same way that you described. I don’t think they were caused by heat, but weird things (the way light hit my eyes, etc.).
It went on for about a month, and then went away. My doctor told me it was normal and not to worry about it.

Like PP said, I think it sounds normal. But you could always call your OB, I’m sure they have a nurse there to answer questions. That way you can stop worrying about it.

ask your OB. This didnt happen to me, but I did read somewhere that your mucous membranes swell and produce more liquid while pregnant, so it could be that your sinuses are super swollen and irritated. Where you are describing the pain is your sinua area, so Id guess thats what it is. you also want to get checked for a sinus infection, just in case. Congrats though!

This is very common. At least from what I’ve heard. I would definitely still ask your OB but it seems to just be another one of those awful symptoms.
