My fiance’s wedding band is tungsten carbide, and I wanted a tungsten carbide band to match his. I like the fact that it will never scratch, and we can both wear them forever. However, he just put a deposit down on a white gold engagement ring, and it *just* occured to me that it’s probably not a good idea to wear them together.
I would really prefer to wear both rings on the same hand most of the time, so it looks like I can’t have the tungsten, and will have to find white gold. But the other good thing about the tungsten is that it was only gonna be $55 from titaniumkay. We don’t want my wedding band to cost much more than that.
Does anyone know where I can get a 2mm white gold wedding band for less than $75?

try Overstock.com they have some that are affordable and really nice.

@sweetpea87: Why can’t you wear them together? Will one ring damage the other? Or are you more worried about a mismatched set?

@KatNYC2011: tungsten is super-hard, so it would scratch and potentially dent the engagement ring if i ever bumped my hand

@sweetpea87: Ah ok… makes sense. I’d suggest looking at ebay, overstock.com, and possibly etsy. Or if you have a Filene’s basement near you they have reasonably priced jewelry.

try ebay! They have some great deals!!! Seriously and some are cusom made for you.
check out cobalt chrome. We much prefered it to tungsten. It didn’t shatter, can be engraved, and is whiter looking. Same price too.

$55 is too much for a titanium ring; I’ve bought them for $30 before.
That being said you probably won’t find a white gold band for less than $75 new. Try looking on your local craigslist or perhaps pawn shops.
