peachbaby4008: I’m personally not a fan, because I’ve heard of how easily they can potentially get dirty and that just wasn’t something I wanted to deal with. I do love how they look though

barbie86: hey, I think you’re the bee with the gorgeous cluster! ๐
Yes, the marquise shape is constantly compared to a vagina around here, lol. Whatever…they are beautiful and I am considering one for my ering!
bitsybee: thankyou they are glitter acrilic..i have tried gels but they just dont work for me im very busy with my hands so acrilic is the only thing that stands the test of time..i know people say they are bad for your nails but if you have them removed properly then ive had no problems whatsoever and my real nails are in good condition …
I have to say that I am disappointed with all the cluster hate. They make possible so many shapes and designs that you can’t just do with regular stones…not to mention the traditional daisy rings that are just so beautiful and elegent. I get that keeping them clean can be an issue, but I call shenanigans on that as a justification for hate when every man and his dog, or well…lady and her bestie seems to have shared prongs or pave bands, elaborate basket etc. Same issue but surprisingly little hate there. Maybe because clusters threaten to outshine more expensive rings?
This said – Nothing against quads themselves but I do hate the way they are marketed to people who often don’t understand what gives diamonds their (relative, because they’re always insanely marked up) value.
I annoys me when I walk past shops with quads in the window and a big sign with “equivalent to A 2 CARAT DIAMOND, only $8000!” I know we all need to educate ourselves but I feel really bad for people who get sucked in and pay way too much. That and they often don’t use great stones (mostly because the store that tend tl sell them are big chain stores) which is a real shame because I can imagine an illusion set quad with very well cut diamonds looking off the chain amazing (stands to reason, a well cut princess can shine like anything). In principle no issue, in practice I get cross, but with the outlets and marketing, not the ring or customers.
girlseeksring: and thank you!
That is so weird lol; can honestly say I’ve never looked at one and thought ‘hmm.. Vagina…’ lol
There is a lot of elitism in here and I don’t like it. My ring isn’t a cluster but it doesn’t bother me when other people have them, regardless of the “illusion”. That would be like me getting upset because I have long natural hair and another woman having a weave that looks natural. One has nothing to do with the other, and why should I care?!! Many of the women in here with their noses in the air probably give off illusions themselves, whether it’s the use of a push up bra, spanx, hair extensions, makeup, etc… This is not a competition. Just ridiculous!
Say whatever but I love my upgrade. First set was a cluster but too small for my long fingers. Still wear it but on right hand. All that matters is the union it represents. Personally unless it’s a solitaire of at least 3cts with a very detailed setting or band or enhancer it bores me. I’m not banking on selling my rings unless God forbid we divorce. So why not wear what you love. It’s your marriage. None of these critics will ever care whether you union is healthy or lasts….so do what makes you smile. smooches…
In My Humble Opinion I am not a fan of how they look. Not appealing to me.
Only one persons opinion matters, yours. It doesn’t matter what you have, someone won’t like it. Me I already had a round solitare, I also have a radiant three stone, and a round with two pear cuts, so I wanted something different, I have got the ring most people love to hate, 2 carat princess with a double halo. Hahahaa do I care, nope don’t give a shit hehehe.
I just got my quad & I absolutely LOVE it! It sparkles like you wouldn’t believe! It’s special because it has 12 princess cut stones & come Sept it’ll be our 12th yr of marriage! ๐ I’m not trying to pass it off as a “bigger diamond” I just simply love the uniqueness of it. Oh & by the way it’s 1 ct tw ๐
I say to each his own. If you love it, that is all that matters! I personally am not a fan of them, but that’s just me. I would much rather have a round solitaire, or traditional 3 stone Boston setting. I don’t love halo rings either. But they is just my opinion!
Wear whatever turns your crank. If you don’t like clusters/ quads then don’t wear them, leave it to those that do. What would we do with all those poor lonely, lovely little diamonds if we didn’t gather them up and put them in a pretty piece of jewellery? As for them ” trying to be something they’re not” how many women out there saying this dye their hair, wear heels, own false eyelashes, acrylic nails etc? The list goes on and on. Live and let live and be kind.
babrorosebud : preach….all this spanx and extensions…and boob jobs…facelifts…all a fascade….keep it real…wear what you love.
I personally don’t like the way they look because…
(embarrassed)
… They remind me of insect eyes… (blush) And they creep me out…
But I certainly don’t begrudge anyone who has one, and if you like it, who cares what I think? ๐ And also, your ring is very pretty! Just because it’s not my personal cup of tea doesn’t mean it doesn’t look dazzling!
