- Wedding: May 2010
My Fiance and I have always made kindereggs a part of our relationship from movie nights to long car adventures and always fighting over who gets to make the toy. We decided to give all our guests a kinderegg wrapped in a little white box with a pink bow. Attached to each box is a little scroll with our proposal story. I hope this is still an acceptable wedding favour??
On each scroll is written:
April 18th 2008 Derek handed me a Kinder Surprise. All I could think was “Ew, did he pick out the one on the floor?” Because it looked squished I decided that I wasn’t hungry and would go straight for the toy – my favourite part anyways. Not anticipating that I would not eat his gross looking chocolate egg Derek was not ready to propose and I had already opened the egg inside. A ring fell into my hand. I looked up at Derek and said “what’s this?”. After blurting out a quick “will you marry me?” and an obvious “yes” on my part I turned to Derek with something that had been bothering me since I accepted his proposal….”So, what was the toy anyway?”.
As a thank you for sharing our special day with us, we wanted to share something special with you!
