We have a queen right now but I can’t wait to get a king! I like my space while I sleep and sometimes accidentally kick him. 🙁

I have a Queen but would MUCH rather have a King.  DH and I don’t have enough room and (we are slim but) we turn over a lot at night, and if one person does, (when one of us does) it wakes the other person.  :/  Would love to have a king someday.

We have a Queen but we would rather have a King.  When we first moved in together we had Full size bed and it didn’t bother us at all, and now we feel crowded on a Queen? That kind of makes me sad LOL.  But now we have a dog in the mix as well, who is only 13 pounds but takes up half of the bed!!

We have a queen. After spending a night at a hotel with a king size bed I told my husband I’d love a bigger bed. He said he likes our bed and doesn’t think we need to “super size”. My sister who has a king responded to my telling her I wanted a bigger bed, she said “If you and your husband like to touch and cuddle through out the night, you’ll never touch in a king size bed”. She can’t wait for her and her husband to get rid of it. After thinking about what she said I wouldn’t give up my husband constantly touching me during the night for a bigger bed.

I guess it comes down to how big/tall you and your husband are. Do you like to spread out? Do you like your own space? Do you touch through out the night?

We have a full, and it works really well for us now. Neither of us can fall asleep cuddling. We cuddle before we go to sleep, and then face different ways after we say goodnight. We like the full because he’s still close enough that I can touch him or brush against him in my sleep, and vice versa. He’s a heavy enough sleeper that it doesn’t wake him up, and if it wakes me up I’m able to fall right back asleep. Our main problem with it is that DH is 6’1, and his feet always hang off the edge.

I think I’ll eventually want to upgrade to at least a Queen. There’s room for us, now, both pretty thin, but a pregnant belly will take up more room, and an eventually child even more. My SIL has a King, and one morning her, her two girls, and me and DH all napped on it, and there was still room on the sides. It was super nice, but I don’t think we need that much space.

ETA: By the way, threads like this always remind me of that episode of Malcolm in the Middle where the mom upgrades to a bigger bed and the dad comes to the conclusion that her wanting to be further away from him in his sleep means she wants a divorce. She finally tells him it’s because she farts in her sleep, and she didn’t want him near them, and he tells her she’s been farting every night since they got married, and that you’re supposed to be able to do things like fart in front of our spouse.

We have a King.  We keep saying it was one of the best decisions we made.  We both like our space while we’re sleeping.  Cuddling is for when you’re awake 🙂

Mr.Roo’s 6’3″ self doesn’t fit on anything other than a Cal King – So California King it is for us…

We will need to get a king in the next few years. My cat ALWAYS sleeps right next to me (and takes up quite a bit of space for a cat!) plus we’re planning on getting two dogs (one that is an extra large breed) that will most likely be sleeping in bed too. So we’ll need all the room we can get! Even if we decide the dogs will have their own beds I’d still like a king because I don’t like cuddling lol.

We have a queen but I’d much prefer a king. Our 45 lb dog sleeps in the middle of us every night so the queen just feels too cramped. I love king sized beds

We have a queen.  We almost bought a king, but when we measured, it wouldn’t have fit in our current room.  We snuggle most of the night anyway, so a king would be pointless for us, since we’re in the middle of in anyway.  When we stay in hotels in a king, it’s nice, but for us, it’s a lot of space that just seems…wasted.  LOL!

A king bed frame, mattress, and any sheets or blankets you buy are going to be more expensive.  For some that might not matter, but it’s something to keep in mind.

We have a king and have never regretted it. We’re both very thin and tall, but the bed we used to share was a full, and I always kicked Fiance off the bed. I must just be a bed hog. He enjoys his sleep much better now that I can be in the middle of the bed and he doesn’t have to worry about falling off.

We have a king and wouldn’t have it any other way.  Before we lived together, we slept in my full size bed and we were practically on top of each other.  In the king, I don’t even know he’s there at night.  But I know he is and can get in close whenever I want.

start with a queen and then decide after a few weeks if it is worth upgrading.
