On new years eve everyone in my group kisses everyone on the lips so I wouldn’t mind then.

But in my group of friends it doesn’t happen often. If I had a friend that I knew greeted everyone with a kiss on the lips I would not mind though.

It’s not like they are making out in front of me or anything! It’s not romantic at all – just a greeting!

Oh heck no, and I would flip my lid, too! I’m not a very touchy person with people other than immediate family and my Fiance, so I don’t see what’s wrong with a nice wave goodbye, lol, but if you really feel the need to kiss someone, their cheeks are right there!

No. No. No. I would not be okay with this. I also know my Fiance and know that is not even close to normal for him, so I would especially not be okay with it.
Maybe it works for them and probably some other people too, but definitely not for me.

No, Darling Husband was watching the season with me a few times and he even agreed it was disgusting and very disrespectful to both spouses. IMO, she takes it a bit too far though bc she is ALWAYS flirting with him. I would really like to hear it from Nicks wife what she thinks, not what Camille assumes.

@peacegrl099: I agree with you. It would be an extremely strange thing and I can’t guarantee my claws wouldn’t come out haha

I dont think its that big of a deal. Some people kiss on the lips. My dad kisses me on the lips and kisses just about everyone he knows on the lips! He kisses his brothers on the lips. When Darling Husband first met my dad and he saw my dad kiss me on the lips he thought it was weird but now he knows thats just how my dad is. I think some people just see it as 100% platonic and NBD!

In some cultures, it’s just a show of affection. I’d probably laugh at DH’s discomfort if a woman kissed him like that. It’d be painfully awkward to watch, I’m sure 🙂

eh it’s not a big deal. My family kisses each other all the time. We’re Italian but I think we’re just very affectionate. I kiss my grandparents friends all the time! It’s the norm with them. I don’t mind it. I think it’s sweet!

Doesn’t bother me. One of best friends greets people like that. She kisses me AND my Fiance on the lips when she sees us. It’s just a peck, she has always done it and it’s never bothered me.

Of course, if you’re not used to it I could see how it could weird you out. In the situation the OP posted it sounds like everyone’s okay with it, so it’s no big deal. Everyone has their own boundaries.

I wouldn’t do it because I’m not a touchy person, but it wouldn’t bother me if it was a greeting.
