Jealous! I want a KA so badly. Darn huge prices. *grumble grumble*

If I could have my way, I’d have the stainless steel/metal colour.

@chasesgirl: I have my parents that they got as a wedding gift 25 years ago- we have baby pictures of me where it’s in the background. The motor clogged up the other year so they got a new one but it just needs cleaned up a bit and it works fine! Though it does start clank if there’s too much in the bowl- it’s a classic white model.

@jaguar:  Do you all have CL down there?  I got mine for $25 from someone who upgraded theirs.

@tksjewelry: CL? As in Craigslist, right? 🙂 We have it but it’s in a very basic form & it’s nowhere near as popular/widely used as it is over there, sadly. Bah!

I’d just buy it & ship it internationally if I could – only the voltages are different here in Aus, hence why they’re selling them all here for ridiculous prices.

Maybe register for a color that works best with your kitchen?  I really like the red color too, but ended with a white one since it was on sale.  It works with the neutrals in our kitchen.  I just bought a Pro 600 in Cinnamon Red as a Christmas present for my Future In-Laws… hope they like the color!

Red! I love red kitchen appliances. It matches my red teapot and coffee maker. It’s so colorful and timeless all wrapped up in one color.

My favorite color is blue, but I save blues for the other area of the house. I do LOVE the aqua kitchenaid, but it just doesn’t match my idea of how I like kitchens decorated.

Agree that you should get the professional model if you make a lot of bread. We make tons with ours. A friend has the regular model and hers can’t knead the dough enough to make bread.

We registered for Pistachio! Love it. We had originally chosen Cinnamon but then I saw Pistachio in another store and it just stole my heart.

I got the black one when I was a sophomore in high school (we’re serious bakers in my family).  I upgraded to the gray (metal) Cuisinart when the KitchenAid started to die about two years ago.

I have the chrome. I reeeeeaalllyyy wanted the pink one but Darling Husband wasn’t having any of that. He claims the mixer is “ours” but it’s not like he’s ever even touched the thing. Atleast chrome will always match whatever kitchen it happens to end up in.

We already own all of the small pink KitchenAid utensils, so now we’re moving onto the appliances. I want a pink one, but I’m thinking white so it goes with my kitchen if I decide to ever move away from the current cupcake/diner motif.

We registered for the pistachio color.  I love the vintage feel of it and green is my favorite color.

@jacinda10: If you get the Kitchenaid from whatever store you registered at but reeeeally want the aqua, take it back to Bed Bath and Beyond even if it wasn’t purchased there.  They take back ANYTHING and EVERYTHING with or without a receipt… whether it’s 5 years old or 1 week old.  Seriously!  I used to work there, so I know.  Then, you can get a store credit and order the aqua color!!

Wow am I the only one getting an orange one?! That is my absolute favorite color and I already know my mom has it at her house (because I peeked) so it is going to be torture waiting until March or April to get it at my shower!
