I wasn’t planning on it but it looks like we will be having a Bridal Shower / Kitchen Tea as part of our wedding festivities for all the ladies who will not be coming to my hens (ie the older women or those who it may not be appropriate to have at the hens).
My mother and aunt will be planning it and I have a bit of oversight over it – we are trying to think of fun games to play or things to do on the day so that it’s a lot of fun and not a boring sit around event.
Anyone have any suggestions or things they did that they can recommend we do?

Personally I prefer a “sit around event” rather than a “forced to play stupid games” event. It’s totally acceptable to NOT have games and just enjoy peoples company! Thats my vote.

For my sister’s shower I am doing a 5×7 bingo card, that guests can fill out to play while opening presents; and on the other side is a mad libs ‘ help the bride write her vows’. Both are super low-key.
My cousin’s did a Jeopardy game with questions about the bride, groom, or couple, which was fun.

The most recent bridal shower I went to had a mimosa bar set up with all kinds of juices/ fruits which was fun!
They also had little round wooden craft peices that we took pics of the couple and did a craft glue to attach the pics to the wooden peices, and they ended up turning those into magnents and giving them away as favors to their weddings…. so it was fun and took care of a job that the couple didn’t have to do …. but if you don’t need favors the guests at the bridal shower could take them home
We also did a quiz about the couple and the winner got a prize
