absolutely. I’ve been using the same Kitcheone for at least 10 years and it was my mother’s. I’m hoping to get a new one for my wedding. If you look at reviews on mixers, they still are rated at the top after many years.

It’s expensive, but people love to buy them.  It was the first wedding gift we got, and I had 3 people who found out we got it say "NO! I wanted to buy that for you!"  We love ours.  Both my husband and I use it regularly for all kinds of purposes, from pasta making, to bread dough (hubs makes really awesome bread), to meringue and whipped cream, to our favorite flourless chocolate cake.  I’ve found it can even improve boxed cake mixes.

I was never a big cooker, but my Fiance asked me what I wanted for Christmas last year and I said the usual, "oh I don’t know".  But then he asked me if there was one thing I wanted but I wouldn’t buy it myself because it was a little too pricey and I said a Kitchenaid mixer!!  Let me tell you, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!  Definately worth it!!!  We both got really excited the first time I used it!!!!  Cheesey, Right?  They last forever and they have these nice accessories you can buy for them!!!  No other brand compares!!!

Love love love it! My dad has one and I miss it so much since I moved out. If for no other reason than Christmas cookie baking season, I want one. Although it’s great for making homemade bread, mashing potatos, cakes, and I could go on and on.

I LOVE the one we got.  We like to make homemade pizza dough, pie crusts, and pretzels but I hate the work of kneading dough.  The mixer makes it absolutely a breeze, and as a result, we’ve been making those things a lot more lately.  Also, we got the ice cream attachment and will be using it for the first time this weekend.  Woo-hoo!

I chose Kitchenaid partially because of the good reviews and the warranty, but also because of the variety of attachments.  Plus, there are always sales at Macy’s and BB&B on the attachments (we also have the meat grinder and sausage stuffer), which is awesome!!!

I absolutely love my KitchenAid Mixer!  I must admit, I was first attracted to its aesthetics (I got the pink Breast Cancer awareness one, and every time I buy a new kitchen accessory, I try to make it match my pink and red theme, LOL) – but it truly is hardy too.  If you bake or just enjoy cooking a lot, I would definitely recommend!

i say it’s worth it. i bought one for my mom that i use regularly [i’m saving my pennies for a new one of my very own!] and it does a heck of a job creaming butter and what not. plus, since it’s so sturdy, i don’t have to worry about my dough being too much for it to handle . best part is i can walk around and start the next step while it mixes! no need to babysit.

i haven’t had much experience with any other brand. i think our old mixer was one of the sunbeam handheld/stand mixer combo but that was such a lightweight one that i don’t think it would be a fair assessment of the brand. i do have a friend who has a sunbeam that’s similar in design to a kitchenaid and she loves it.

I bought mine as soon as I graduated college because I love cooking and baking, and it is fabulous. Yes, it’s worth the hype. I considered upgrading to a bigger one but for now I’m content with ours- the regular sized one. They’re so expensive and i can’t imagine parting with my precious tiffany blue one that I have had for so long!! I’m sure one day we’ll get a bigger one- my mom just got a HUUUGE one after all these years- she loves it!!

KITCHENAIDS ARE SO AMAZING. My Fiance really loves to cook, so he bought one for us on the cheap (hideous color was being discontinued!) two years ago. I am never looking back. He makes homemade bagels now using the dough hook!

I use mine every day at work, but I only use mine at home maybe once every 2 months or so. I get more use out of my bamix & mandoline!

I think because I bake 6 days a week I’m just not into making labor intensive treats outside of work. I usually just bring leftover cupcakes home 🙂

If you’re a hardcore cook & like to make your own pastas, breads & meringues– I say get it! Even if you just use it for baking, it’s an invaluable tool. It makes your life so much easier.

Definitely!!!! I told my mom that I had planned to register for one due to my love of baking cupcakes, and she surprised me with one for Christmas. Oh, I have used it sooo many times–cupcakes, frosting, cheesecake, pizza dough, pasta, etc. And I recommend registering for the pasta roller and cutter set as well (not the grinder with the plastic attachments, but the set with the actual roller with angel hair and fettuccine cutters)–you will never go back to pasta-in-a-box again after making your own pasta!

I do have a space for it on my kitchen counter because it’s not something I want to be get out and put back away each time I want to make something. I love my KitchenAid!! I think I’m going to go bake something now…

So incredibly worth it imo. I’m really hoping for one. I haven’t had regular access to one in years now and I really, really miss it!

I absolutely think it is worth it!   My mom is a testament to this.  She went through 2 or 3 other stand mixers before she bought her kitchenaid 25 years ago.  She has never had a problem with it and uses it pretty regularly.  It is worth the investment.  They just last forever!
