Its pretty, its just not my taste. I would prefer a marquise.

I had an aquamarine in a cushion cut kite setting and I loved it!  Unfortunately they’re very difficult to find in the wild.

I’m a fan of anything that makes people happy and does not include stealing or kicking puppies!

Looks interesting, very pretty ring, looks like a diamond shape… but not for me. it is too high.

My cousin has a three stone ering with a kite-set princess as the center, flanked by two smaller princess diamonds set the traditional style…it’s stunning! I’m totally a fan.

@Nona99:  What?! Isn’t having a different opinion equivalent to kicking puppies, then setting them on fire?!

I think the kite setting looks great! I actually prefer it to the other setting for square diamonds (because I totally know my ring terminology and know what it’s called).

I really like it. I have morganite earrings that are in kite settings.  the jeweler tried to talk Darling Husband out of having them set that way but I’m so glad he insisted.  I like them so much better that way.

I don’t think I even heard of a kite setting before this post.  I really like it tho!!

I don’t think I’d get one myself, because I’m clumsy and have heard that princess cut is a little more prone to damage than some others, but I like it! Especially since it comes a lot closer to what I thought a “diamond ring” would look like when I was a kid.

I really like them in the kite setting. I think it’s a nice twist (pun so totally not intended) on the classic princess cut.
