xraychick01 :  I too have a little house panther and I also have a tripod dog… sort of. He’s missing his paw only on one leg so he hauls around his leg with him e dry where but can’t use it.

Many vets say that pets are born with 3 legs and a spare, they really don’t need that leg to live a very successful life. It looks like a front leg on your baby? In which case she will still jump and enjoy all of the wonders of being a kitten! My puppy can outrun most dogs at the dog park and is the sweetest soul, and I’m sure your baby will be the same. And the relationship between panther and rescue parents is a special one!! Thank you for doing this for the sweet baby!

Awww, poor thing. She will adapt just fine though. Growing up we had a 3 legged Siamese my mom found in a bear trap. It was her front leg and she was still able to climb steps. Yours will acclimate that much more given this is happening as a kitten. Still, it’s really emotional to have something like this happen to a pet.

I had a black moggy who got run over by our (a-hole)(for many reasons) neighbour – she was less than a year old and had to have her tail and back leg amputated. She adapted really well, and had a rich and extremely pampered life. Your little cutie will do fine!

What a precious little girl she is.
You are amazing for saving her life and helping her <3
It is upsetting she has to lose a leg 🙁 But like everyone else has said, sounds like she will adapt really well xx
