Are you cleaning his box every day? Does he have any medical issues? The only time I’ve heard of a cat doing this was my SIL’s cat – but they accidentally had closed the closet door where her automatic litter box was. After a while, she couldn’t hold it, and chose the dog’s bed to pee on. (I guess if you can’t have the box, it’s best to annoy the dog!)

I’d throw out the dog bed and replace it, first of all. But with something less expensive, in case the cat pees there again. Make sure the floor is SPOTLESS underneath. They’ll go back to the smell. Then I’d try changing the litter – maybe he doesn’t like the stuff you got him. Then if that didn’t work, i’d take him to the vet to get a check up.
