yogahhh: I’m sorry you lost your cat to cancer, I lost my beloved girl to an aggressive form as well. She was always chubby and started losing weight and nobody knew why. I finally got a referral to a specialist, and the morning I was to take her for her ultrasound she went blind. I took her anyway. She had kidney cancer that spread through her spinal cord into her brain. She was so sick that I put her to sleep the next morning. It was the saddest day of my life thus far.
She loved me like how yours did! She came when I called her, slept with me every night, LOVED watching the movie Coraline. She was so sad when I went to college that she’d lick the hair off her leg and it would only grow back when I was home for long periods of time. Man, I loved that cat as if she were my child. I miss her every day.

jne131: it’s so sad 🙁 I’m sorry about your baby too. I’m convinced I’ll never love another animal like that. Sometimes the bond is so amazing!

Hello fellow cat lovers!
This is our kitty, Sierra. We adopted her almost exactly 3 years ago and she is an American Shorthair! She is so spunky and loving. She sleeps under the blankets in our bed every night and her favorite activity is fetching make up brushes.

This is Mae West. She was named because she sort of had a saunter that reminded my mother of Mae West. We also call her Xanex, The Graceless One, Cat Face, and my fiance and future brother in law are known to call her “Snake Cat” and “Sabretooth” because her front canines are so big and long you can see them when her mouth is closed.
According to her records, somewhere between 4-5 years, probably. I’ve had her for about three years.
Mae is a rescue cat, and probably the love of my life (but don’t tell my fiance). She is a big (almost 17 pounds!), loveable, goofy fluffball with far less grace than a cat should posess. I frequently list her as the reason that I can get by without medication for my anxiety and depression. She loves sitting on human’s chairs, and sleeps at the foot of our bed pretty much every night… unless my fiance or I are away, and then she’ll sleep on the other person’s chest. She’s a very messy drinker, too! She’s always ending up with water droplets all over her nose and chin. I… I really could go on for hours about this cat.
This last one is to give people an idea of the sheer mass of this beast… and yes, I’ve taken her to the vet – she’s rather well proportioned, she’s just big!

This is Charli. She’s about 4 months old and I adopted her from a local shelter. Fun fact, her fact sheet listed her as a male. It wasn’t until I took her to get fixed that I found out she was actually a girl. Guess I just didnt pay much attention to her nether regions.

this is Screech. He’s 13 and just like a toddler always getting into stuff. Fun fact he never grew out of his kitten meow so whenever he meows it sounds like a baby kitten!

this is an older picture, when they were tinier. They are big babies now.
this is my Albus (tan), and Minerva (goes by Minnie).
Albus is 10 months old, and Minnie is a little over a year. They are both just regular old cats, except that they’re mine so it makes them the best!! Albus is a boy, Minnie’s a girl.
Fun fact: minnies meow sounds like an old fashioned phone ringing when she is happy. we raised Albus from 4 weeks old, and he still sleeps on my pillow every night (he’s just bad at sharing now because he’s HUGE!)

Here is one of my two…
Age: 6 years
Breed: Maine Coon mix
Fact: He hates being picked up (but tolerates it). Most of the time he will make himself limp when someone is trying to pick him up.
