Hi ladies, I havent actually gone wedding dress shopping yet, but I know I need to get on this since we will be getting married in April! Since I am in NY, I am thinking of going to Kleinfeld’s big sample sale next month. I would love to hear from those of you who have about how the day went. Is there one communal dressing area (HATE that), did you feel rushed, etc? Would you recommend I do a traditional store visit beforehand ? Any advice is warmly welcomed!

I’ve never been to the Kleinfeld’s Sample Sale but I would definitely recommend going to a few appointments at other salons so you can actually take your time and figure out what and what you like on yourself in regards to silhouette. I think it would prevent an impulse purchase from getting caught up in the craziness of everything and then having dress reget later. I’d definitely go the sample sale though if you have the opportunity b/c some girls find great deals! Good luck!

SkinnyLatte17: Great idea, about going to other shops, for silhouettes, etc. – especially for bridal sizing, which can be really frustrating.
somethingbluebirds: I’d call them immediately and make a reservation; I’m sure they only allow limited numbers to attend, and those who register 1st are probably get the first numbers in line, and have the best selection. And take helpers with you, if you’re allowed; most gowns are heavy.
