I had torn cartilage in my knee and had surgery for it about 1 year ago. My knee feels much better now. I had the same problem as you, severe knee pain after ANY activity at all. It got old really quick. I went to see a sports medicine specialist and found the torn cartilage. I attribute the knee pain to a skiing accident i had about a year before the pain started getting bad.

Hope this helps a little!

We don’t hate medical questions.  I just personally worry that some people might be taking the information here a little too seriously and using that as a basis to go or not go to the doctor.

I haven’t had issues exactly like that but I have had to go to PT before for my knees because they get hurt really badly.  You should try strengthening your thighs since those muscles help to keep your knees in alignment.  You should also check into the footwear you have, you might not be compensating for the movement that your knees make.  Most women had knee alignment problems because our hips are wider so by keeping our legs straight beneath us, the kneecap is pulled away from center.  You might want to try taping your knee caps over with some sport tape.
