I have been lurking for a while before finally joining. The wedding dresses I have seen from the hive are beautiful! But they are almost all floor length dresses. My dress is a simple knee length dress. Am I the only one?… I guess I am 40 something!

If you search “see short dresses” or “see tea length dresses” a bunch of posts will come up. You are not alone.

New here and newly engaged. Haven’t chosen a dress yet but I’m definitely planning knee length and possibly not white….
I’m looking at 50’s style knee length dresses – I don’t think I’m tall enough to rock tea length..

Knee length or tea length dresses can be so pretty and chic. A friend of mine had vows renewal and she is in her late 50s! She wore an absolutely gorgeous knee length white cocktail dress off the rack from Macy’s — about $150, with high heeled pumps. She looked so feminine and adorable!

I knew from the beginning I wasn’t going to get a long dress. Here’s mine. And I am not Ana Fur Laxis.

Yes, I would say you’re in the minority – but that automatically makes you more unique. I had a similar feeling about my dress – it’s long, but it also has long sleeves, which are still way less common (even post-Duchess Kate) than the ubiquitous strapless gowns.
Doesn’t matter – it’s what suits me. Same with your dress. Congrats on finding one you love! (Both the dress and the fiance!)
