I’m going to be knitting (or crocheting; haven’t decided) bands to go around mason jars for the tables.  They will be centered around the jars with a natural raffia bow to tie them on.  Also playing with the idea of doing a crocheted border on invites down the road, but we’ll see how ambitious I get.

@naturalysam:  I just bought some gorgeous cotton yarn that is blended with a metallic thread; colors are antique gold, tarnished silver, and midnight blue.

Did a crocheted mock-up on a canister I had in the kitchen; I’m thinking that if I do different types of jars, bottles, canisters, etc. and use various forms of embellishment (burlap with ribbon, the crocheted wraps, bows, etc), I’ll end up with a layered, rustic look.  I found some cool patterns online for open laces that were pretty easy, so I think I might try some of those, as well.

I love this idea! Got a pattern? I might have to queue it up on Ravelry… busy, busy needles…
