So we’ve had a few things bought off our registry, all pieces of our fiesta ware…which dont get me wrong I am sooo excited about adding to our collection.
But I just happened (ahem) upon our registry today and found out that someone bought us our $150 knife set! I am soooooooo freaking excited about knives! Is that sad or what?
The ones we have now are a $30 set his mom picked up at Tuesday Morning. I love them and they have been perfect for the time we have had them but they are cheap and getting little rusty spots on them (and I clean and dry them the right way)
Wow. I just never thought I would be this excited over knives. Lol. The fiance doesn’t understand but I knew the Bee’s would 🙂
Oh and can’t forget the excitement of the awesome zester his Grandma gave to me with her AMAZING lasagna recipe.

hahahah my Fiance wanted to register for a $200 knife set – I told him he was out of his mind and that nobody would spend that much on knives….
I was wrong – my aunt and her Girlfriend bought them for us. He was so excited to get them!!
He aso registered for $600 worth od pots and pans…..we had to buy them for ourselves because they were crazy ezpensive!!! I’m scared to use them because I’m afraid I will ruin them!

Good knives are so important for a cook.
You are way more likely to be injured using a dull knife. Make sure you take care of them properly. They will last a lifetime.

Oh, I definitely plan on registering for a knife set. The knife set I want is pretty expensive though, but I think I can register each knife by itself. Hopefully our guests will get us the majority of the set and we’ll just buy the remaining pieces that we didn’t get. I don’t know if that’s a bad idea though, because I don’t know if people would be ok with just buying one or two knifes– like that might be a weird gift? I don’t know.
But ever since I got engaged, that is the number 1 thing I want on my registry! So I totally get where you’re coming from.

I always give knives as gifts, because as a foodie, I know they are the BEST in the kitchen! One type that I like to get for people is ceramic, they are like razor sharp and they are less expensive than some of their forged german counterparts. I love my messermeiseter and wusthoff.
@turtlebride what kind of knives are they?
