Ok, I am the mother-of-the-bride as per my previous post. I am paying for the dress and most of everything else, happy, happy to do so, but I am not rich so trying to save money as we all are. Thanks for all the posts you busy Bees I have been reading them and must say the information is fantastic.
My daughter and I have researcher all the threads on this site and other sites and have decided on giving Jasmine Bridal Shop a go. So, to help future brides to be, and mothers of the brides to be, I will log our journey on this thread to document our experience with ordering a dress on line from China.
To test the process, about 2 weeks ago I ordered a dress for myself. See picture here:
I don’t look as young, but a standard UK10 body should do it some justice, maybe, with a lot of luck, and maybe some botox…. just kidding as I don’t think the budget would make it that far. This is really to test the process, customer service and finished product. And I get another dress 🙂
Anyway, the deposit has been paid 50%, and according to Jasmines Bridal Shop the dress is in the design phase. I have ordered Premium making and materials. If this process goes well, we will be ordering my daughter’s dress, see picture below:
Maggie Sottero – Bianca
I haven’t seen any reference to anyone buying, or ordering this dress from China or anywhere else. Let me know if you have had any experience with this dress.
Currently I am waiting on some PDF colour samples as I ordered my mother-of-the-bride dress in dark blue.
I have also asked for some samples of the soft satin used in the Bianca dress (acutal samples) to be sent to me. Jasmine has confirmed that the samples have been sent.
That’s the story so far, so I will keep you in the loop.
