we send them a picture of what we want our dresses to look like,  or visit there sites and choose one of their dresses,  it doesnt arrived with a label in it,  like the girls above said,  its an inspiration.

for instance my dress is a copy of a Demetrios gown,  but because it doesnt SAY demetrios on it, and mine is a slightly different colour to the real thing,  its perfectly legal.

i know about copywrite theft,  but the chinese are not trying to sell the originals.  they even state on there website that they will try to get the dress 95%  the same ….

the duty i am talking about is import tax and duty ,  for buying from abroad..   i live in Uk  and duty and taxes are HIGH!

thats why every year i go under the channel tunnel to Belgium to buy my cigarettes!

mmm actually i don’t really know dress bought in china but from a lot of posts here asking if the dress really look like the original photo i assumed that it was a copy more than an inspiration… so i learn something new today 😀

(sorry if someone taught that my post were judgemental, i didn’t want to hurt anyone but just share that story so it does not happen to any great bee :p)

@efitzger:

was there really any need to be so blunt to the point of rudeness about lealeas dress?
a whole list of negatives and nothing positive.  we all appreciate constructive critisism,  but i personally think you were just being rude.

@nil:

No biggie! I guess the big deal for the replicas is that they look similar and still beautiful. I know that I didn’t mind my dress looking slightly different, however I wanted it to have the essence of what I enjoyed about my dress. I think many of us feel that way.

It also really helps with the budget and alterations.

@adw2c:  yea i am okay with slight differences, as long as they get like 98% of it right, I will be happy.  I have heard good reviews of this one or i wouldn’t even consider it.  Before I read the good reviews, I certainly did check out dressilyme because they have so many good reviews, but they do not have my “dream dress”  So we will see.

Have you gotten your dress yet?  can we see it on you?

@Ronneykay:

They accept custom pictures. If you do use a custom picture I suggest finding an image of the beading closeup or any details you want to be specific. I showed them 4 images and they did a great job.

I am still waiting for my dress because I asked for some changes to be made but its not a big deal. They were happy to work with me.

@adw2c: not sure yet, gotta see what dress I want first;)   but if i go with my “dream dress” it will probably be perfectbridaldress.com because they already have a photo of the dress on their site.

If not, I guess it would just depend on the dress and then of course I will have to come on here and find reviews and photos, etc…  But I do hear alot of good things about Dressilyme and Jeff liu…  So hard to say.  But I do know that these are alot more budget friendly.

I would love to have the money just to purchase any dress I wanted but I don’t and I need to be frugal, and I have already started on ALL the DIY stuff I am doing, which is pretty much ALL the decorations.  I need to find a low cost place to rent chairs/tables etc.  Even though where we are having our party/ceremony has picnic tables… there are no round ones.

There is still alot to do, but I have time to do it:)  I am quite happy where I am in the process.

Oh and your dress was from pictures, maybe I will take that into consideration:)  i got 2 years, so its awesome!

They really did a lovely job. I too think that the feedback from efitzger was harsh and not constructive. The dress is gorgeous! Cant wait to see the back 🙂

Thanks! I am sure you will make the right choice for your dress. I can only vouch for my experiences and not others. I did see a girl that bought from your company and she was really happy with her results. I thought the detail and the style was very nice as well. So hopefully they wil give you what you are looking for.

As for Dressilyme Vs. Jeff Liu, I must say that I don’t like Jeff Liu from my personal experience with him. Others have had much success. I would say Dressilyme and I would recommend them to anyone because of my experience. I didn’t feel like I had to worry or go out of my way to understand what was being said to me or try to reword myself because of a language barrier.

So anyways! That’s just my 2 cents. I emailed you my reviews for both companies in case you hadn’t seen my experience with Aprilsbridal.

Yea,i got them:) thanks!

If i do not choose hte one that has the dress already, I am already knowing I will go with Dressilyme.  I would just feel more comfortable about it if they had the dress I wanted already on their website.  But who knows what dress I will end up having?  i have already tried on 30 and none really sticks out.  Like I put money down on one… only because it was a consignment shop and I didn’t know if I wanted it or not.  So I paid that money to just think about whether or not I wanted it.  I don’t…  and one thing about perfectbridaldress.com is they have free shipping!

I checked out your dressilyme dress though, its quite beautiful:)  and looks good on you!

So, i think I wont find my dress, but my dress will find me…  sigh, i still got time.

Its all good! Keep us updated and let us know what you choose for your dress. Either place you choose I am sure it will be lovely on you. I am all about the custom choice and seeing good companies. It seems like there are many to choose from.

This Monica’s bridal dress is a nice example. I heard many good things about this company. I hope to see more. I am into Knock Off Dress Porn. ^_^ Its about all I can afford.

@Lealea: Thanks for following up! Can’t wait to see the photos on you! I would get the beading the exact way you want before buying jewelry, but I agree- some blingy swarvorski dangly earrings & maybe a matching bracelet would look really pretty with that dress 🙂
