well, i made our sweet little STD’s and got a bit full of myself and my capabilities. i had the grandest of dreams to DIY our invitations. i found a master printer in Perth who was happy to come out of retirement to letterpress my designs for the most ridiculous price you could ever imagine. i sourced prices for crane’s lettra paper and calculated shipping from the US. i joined up istockphotos and downloaded some pretty borders. i purchased the suite fonts ‘burgues’ and ‘zaner pro.’ i spent long lovely hours fiddling and moving and fanging around with adobe illustrator. and today, i said to myself – it’s time to give up! so close, yet so far away! i thought that i could do it, but the headaches were just not worth it.
and so onto Bella Figura went I, and ordered these little beauties! the beautiful ‘Dolce.’ $1500 more than my DIY would have cost, but tonight i will sleep like a baby. i am a failure, and i could not be happier!

Haha! So pretty! Love them.
I think DIY is cool if it’s within a person’s schedule & abilities and they’ll enjoy the process but I always say some things are worth paying extra for to NOT have to DIY.

oh, thank you all so much for your kind comments.
it was so hard to tell Fiance last night that the task was beyond me. he has suffered along with me – not that he was actually physically involved over the last 3 months with the whole illustrator circus, but he certainly was there through the moaning and the stress!
secretly, i think he is delighted that his bride’s sanity could be restored for under $2000! money well spent! and now i can go through the design process with professionals! (for whom i now have the utmost admiration!)
