Well. I’m back. Checked the registry today because of your advice, and found that 5 items have been purchased,

… By 7 people. 3 mixers kohls? Really?

I am not happy at all with my kohls registry and people haven’t even started buying off of it yet.

I started my registry online then went into the store to add a few things that I wanted to touch and feel like towels. I went up to the counter and the person working there was really rude. They wanted an ID to secure the gun and both of ours were in the car so we had to go and grab them. It was no biggie, but the person working had a bad attitude about it like we were going to run off with the gun or something. We went through and got everything we wanted and then gave back the gun. I knew the counts were off on some things since you have to scan it multiple times rather than enter a quanity like you can at target so I decided to print it off so I could physically see everything. Nothing was updated. My fiance said it probably takes overnight so today I checked and still nothing got added. I called the number online that brought me to their call center and they said it should have been updated immediately (this lady was nice so I didn’t get mad at her). She suggested calling the local store so I did and they pretty much said tough luck you can everything online or come back in. Well I’m sure all you ladies know that time is not on our sides so coming back in is not an option. If my shower invites weren’t already printed, I’d delete the whole registry and just stick with target. Their gun was a lot more user friendly and the people were super nice.

I’m having issues with my Kohl’s registry too.  It says that there are two items purchased for almost all the items.  It even says that 4 food processors have been purchased.  I really don’t believe that two have been purchased because of the type of items they are (small kitchen tools).  I think it is an error.

Update: miraculously all of our items eventually made their way to our registry since our intitial in store scanning fiasco. I don’t know how long it took because I hadn’t check on the registry due to sheer frustration until last week. That was probably 3 or more weeks ago so it could have been at any point in time between then and now.

I’m having major issues with my Kohl’s registry as well. I made this my main place because I love Kohl’s and I always get good deals wtih coupons and sales they run, and I figured my guests would appreciate being able to get a steal (after all, if I am not comfortable paying $50 for a towel, I’m sure my guests wouldn’t be thrilled either!). So I registered online so I didn’t have any store scanning issues. My problems started when guests started buying things off my registry for my shower.

A couple days after my shower invites went out, one of my friends texted me and said that she just bought me a shower gift but for some reason, it only gave her the option of shipping it directly to me. I thought maybe this friend just was doing something wrong and didn’t think much of it. Then my Future Mother-In-Law said the same thing. So I called their customer service line and found out that unless someone buys a gift in store, over the phone, or signs in with a Kohls shopping account, it will ship the gifts direct. Uhm….what!? I filed a complaint but apparently there’s no changing it.

So now all these gifts are showing up at my moms house (listed her address for the registry). I want to open them because I am sure some are from people who can’t make it to the shower and intended to ship them direct. But then I feel like if I open something from someone who is coming, it’d be really bad and then do I wrap their gifts myself and bring them? Or just close back up the box it was shipped to us in and bring it that way?

What a disaster.
