    @MississippiQueen:  AWESOME!!! So clever!

    Are friends are also huge casual drinkers, so this was the only thing we’ve considered. Our save the dates were bottle caps, so it totally goes along with our “theme”.

    I LOVE this idea!  I don’t think having a useful wedding favor is “tacky.”  How useful are chocolates?  Or one single coaster that doesn’t match a thing? Or candles?  I’d rather have a useful, fun favor that my friends and family will enjoy!  Please note, I’m from Wyoming… city girls may have a much different perspective on this!

    I would normally say tacky, as koozies make me think of cheap beer (which is completely irrational). BUT when I actually envision myself receiving a koozie as a favor I would actually love it! Fiance and our friends would too! We use koozies all the time in the summer, at the lake, by the pool, at the beach, bbq’s , you name it, we have our koozies.

    We had some friends make koozies for their annual 4th of July bash a few years ago and we still make sure to pack them when we attend, as do many others. I think it all depends on the crowd and type of wedding you are having.

    I say do it  but not with your names on it. THe date perhaps, and some line from a reading, but I would never, ever use something with someone else’s name on it. Maybe it is a regional thing? I’ve never seen koozies as a favour, but it’s a cute idea. Yes on the idea, no on the names.

    I say it depends — I personally wouldn’t choose a koozie but I think it’s a cute idea if you both are beer drinkers and your fams like to do cookouts.  I think when it comes down to it any favor you choose has to suit you and your Fiance.  This sounds like it does so I think it’s great!  If you were asking and had no personal reasoning behind it I’d say no.

    My SO uses these and has several, like many, many, many, for real.

    You know your friends and family best, if you think it will be a big hit with your crowd go for it!

    OR if you think its a good representation of you and your Fiance and a good way to put your stamp on your reception, go for it!

    I don’t think they’re that tacky, but I did say it depends. If you’re having a super formal wedding and reception, I’d skip it. Otherwise, I think it’s great. We’re having a beach ceremony and a nautical at home reception. Our families are the same way – they love to drink. For the most part. So we’regoing to do them. =)

    I love the “To have and to hold & to keep your beer cold!” ones – we’re going with that. I may replace beer with drink, though.

    We are doing koozies, but I think you should go away from the monogram and names. Do something with a cute little quote so they could use them again without it having someone elses name and wedding date on them! “To have and to hold and to keep your beer cold!”

    Curious Canadian here…. so how does one pronounce koozie? It is kooo-zie? I’ve only ever heard of them as beer cozies. I just was noticing the difference. I had NO idea what this thread was about until I saw the picture. haha.

    Honest opinion? I will never use it. Not because it is personalized, but because I don’t ever use koozies. We have two sitting around somewhere collecting dust.

    @Future Couture:  This is a great idea! I think people would really reuse the koozie without a name and date.

    I think it is a great idea, Smile we are going to do the same, seems like it is actually a usable favor, and it is kind of light and fun.

    I like this   I saw it first on Pinterest, then found it is a stock design on Kustom Koozies  We used Kustom Koozies for a party a few years ago, and they were great!.  They actually suggested a color change to us, as “in their experience” what we had selected may not print as well.

    Good luck!
