I got my gown from Wilshire Bridal http://www.wilshirewedding.com/?p=home. They have a beautiful selection, clean store, helpful staff, and best of all – good prices! Do your research prior to going in. It will help you to navigate and get the best price. Also, it didn’t hurt that I brought my fiance with me (he speaks fluent Korean). I’m not sure if they rent gowns?

Good luck!

i’m getting a custom made rental from shin bu bridal on 6th.  they’re great!  i love my custom made dress and was still affordable!

most of my friends got rented their wedding dresses from beautiful day on western.  they have the best prices in ktown.  they also rent bridesmaids dresses/tuxes for only $60 including alterations.

I went to about 3 different boutiques in Koreatown.  Wilshire Bridal had a lot of beautiful selection and I heard good things about Shin Bu but didn’t get to check it out.  If you want custom made, try Kara on Olympic.  It’s a small boutique but her prices were very good and she was very helpful.  Her veils are also absolutely gorgeous!!

If I didn’t end up buying mine from MonAmie, I would’ve gone back to her so she can custom design one for me.

I also found my dress at Wilshire Bridal on Wilshire/Western. I was really lucky to find a sample that fit me for only $500! I paid about $200 for alterations b/c I had to alter the bustle, but still the dress was originally $1200! Kim helped me and she was great! Great service and beautiful selection of dresses.  Also, there’s Tomato Weddings on Western/12th. They have reasonable prices too and really beautiful dresses. Tomato also had some previously owned dresses for sale for about half the price of a new dress and they were in clean, pristine condiition. if you find one in your size, you’re lucky b/c the pre-owned dresses look practically brand new, can’t even tell they’d been worn before.

I haven’t been to any but I read great yelp reviews on “Wedding Time” on S. Vermont Ave and they carry some designer gowns.  Here is the link to the yelp reviews.  Hope this helps.
