(Closed) Kristie Kelly – Has anyone “borrowed” a dress?

It seems like the borrow option is there so that brides can try the dress before purchasing. I suppose you could borrow and just wear it for the wedding but you can only have the gown for 2 days! Also, what about fit? Most gowns need to be altered and you wouldn’t have that with a borrowed gown.

There may be other services out there that are actual rental services for gowns.

I bought my dress (originally ~$2000) for $300 on the bee classifieds.  I am spending another $300 for the original designer to change some things for me.  It will need some minor alterations–a little bit of taking in and bringing up the hem, but otherwise, it’s a steal.
