You could try the UCI University Club in Irvine. It *may* be possible to do under $5000 if you aren’t the ceremony there, and getting the minimum food requirement. They’re available till midnight if need be, but you have to use their food caterer.

As far as WedgeWood Banquets (as recommended by

@Luv2BeachIt) — I wouldn’t bother :/ Not to totally discredit or sound like a jerk (sorry!!)…. My Fiance and I checked it out, and while the packaging and pricing online looks AWESOME, what they don’t tell you is that you have to meet a requirement of spending at least $9k on a Friday, $14k  on a Saturday, and I believe $12k on a Sunday. We were all excited til we realized that. Plus they’re all inclusive and don’t let you pull stuff from the normal package to replace it with your own vendor.

@karbearbb5:  Casa Romantica is my fav..but too pricey. I’m a wedding decorator, so when my daughter got married last 7/2011, we were on a tight budget. They booked OC sailing and in order to make it more dramatic, I hired a decorator with all mu ideas! it turned out amazing. E-mail me for pics. Total venue , food and booze for 150 people was less than 10K

It’ll be pretty hard to find a venue in OC/LA that only charges 5k for site rental and allows you to bring in outside vendors.

Have you looked into Ebell LA or Ebell Long Beach? You can’t bring in your own vendors, but they are reasonably priced.

Best of luck to you!

Hmm, I suspect that where we did our wedding won’t quite fit what you’re looking for (only goes until 10pm and it’s really better suited to a daytime event so you can use the outdoor space), but the price is right and you can bring in all your own vendors. If you scroll down you can find a lnk to their 2012 Wedding Packet that includes the rules and fees.

have you checked out any of the local ranches from ojai/ventura to LA? there’s some Spanish style stuff

Orcutt Ranch – spanish style, a coworker had her wedding and LOVED it and mentioned they had to bring everything in. It does only go until 10p but it’s only about $2000 for a Saturday, so that’s a bonus!      http://www.laparks.org/dos/horticulture/orcutt/orcutt_rental.htm

& Here’s a few others that were in the similar Spanish style with some more than others, you have to call to request much more info:

Gridley Estate, Ojai – http://www.estateweddingsandevents.com/venue/gridley-ranch/

Hummingbird Nest Ranch, Simi Valley – http://hummingbirdnestranch.com/

Middle Ranch, Lake View Terrace – http://www.middleranch.com/site/ ($2k fee, $25/person)

Rolling Thunder Ranch, Ojai – http://santabarbaravenues.com/event-locations/enchanted-ojai-properties-rolling-thunder-ranch ($4795 for 50-130 guests)

Hidden Chateu, Woodland Hills/Canoga Park – http://www.hiddenchateau.com/special-events/ ($4500, $5/person more on Saturday)

Diablo Dormido House, Santa Monica Mountains – http://www.diablodormido.com/weddings.php

Walnt Grove Ranch, Moorpark – http://www.walnutgroveweddings.com/Pricing–Get-Quote_ep_42-1.html  ($2750 on Saturdays)

Santa Barbara Museum of Art – http://www.sbnature.org/about/271.html ($1500-$2000 pricing on website)

Have you tried the Diamond Bar Center? It’s very affordable and I think it meets all of your requirements. I’ve been to 2 weddings there and they were both great. It does book up fast though so I would check ASAP for available dates.

I’m having my reception in Norwalk CA. It is very affordable! You girls should check it out! The food, linens, security, servers are provided. You can bring outside wedding cake, dJ ect. I think its $4,400 for 100 people and $8,400 for 200 people. The coordinator is awesome and she decorates everything! Check out my post with pics included!
