Hi.  I’m a frequent shopper of the various districts in downtown LA so I definitely hit up the wedding section when I was wedding planning.

I got a gorgeous bracelet for about $150 at Royal Accessories, (they’re on yelp).  Other than that, it was a total bust. There were tons of veils but they all looked cheap and were not significantly discounted.  i did find a great fabric store with lots of lace options so I bought the lace I wanted for my mantilla and had my seamstress make my mantilla, (let me know if you need recommendations for that).  I also bought the sparkly trim to make a sash and the seamstress just sewed that directly onto my dress, (but offered to make a sash or belt instead.  If you go through my posts  you’ll see pictures of all these things.  Hope that helps.

PM me if you have any more questions.

Hi there! I am a OC bride as well…. though maybe we can bounce off ideas since it sounds like we’re looking for the same thing. My hair and makeup trial is in 2 weeks and i really wanted to get my veil to take with me. I’m trying to figure out where to buy a reasonably priced veil as well! I’ve been to the LA area in their wedding district in particular, and did check out some veils. To be honest, they aren’t that discounted like the other person said, however, they still may be in the price your looking for. I also saw jewlery and accessories there, but again, i was disappointed on how there weren’t really that much cheaper! i did happen to see a place at the Irvine Spectrum, i think it’s called White Lie or somehting like that, but it has a BUNCH of blinged out hair combs and jewlery. The prices we not bad at all! i would recommend that place to check out. It’s over by H&M now that i think about it. Anywho, message me if you want to talk more…my big day is in Jan! 🙂

@sofiekitty:  Oh thats cool! I checked out Etsy too, i got a little overwhelmed at the selection though! I’d love the name of the seller thats doing your veil! Also, there is a little area in Santa Ana that has a different botiques I heard that sell accessories and veils. It’s off of Main St. I’m going to check it out probably the end of the week and see if i see anythign there as well.

@sofiekitty:  ok so i checked out Santa Ana’s “fashion/bridal district” and it was a nightmare. a wasted trip! There was absolutley nothing there, most every shop i walked into that said “bridal” ended up only having quincenera dresses and other stuff that i had no clue what they were! LOL i do not recommend going there! 🙁 i’m going to LA on sunday with my florist to pick out my wedding flowers for the centerpieces. I’m also planning to get my veil, flower girl dresses and look for affordable wedding favors or at least the stuff to make them and i can put them together myself. Oh and some jewlery of course, i saw some nice stuff on Etsy but i’d really like to see it in person to make sure it doesn’t look cheesy or cheap.
