“Stunning, fitted silhouette which highlights curves to create a perfect hourglass figure in 100% satin glamour. This gorgeous mermaid style gown is made in Barcelona, Spain by couture designer, La Sposa of Pronovias. The color is a sophisticated shade of ivory. The slim A-line bodice with asymmetrical ruching throughout its length is sleek and modern. While strapless, its slight sweetheart neckline is classically elegant for a formal wedding. The dress has a zipper closure with covered buttons and a full inner corset belt. The skirt of the dress has substantial volume and length with a train which can also be bustled.” (website description)
I chose to have a beautiful bustle option! I have two photos included so you can see what it looks like when you tie the train into a bustle. You just tie the matching colored ribbons together, starting from the top down. I replaced one of the ribbons since the end of it was a little frayed. You can also just leave the train down. Either look is amazing. I had the dress altered from a size 8 to fit my measurements 34B (it can probably fit bigger as I wore a padded strapless bra), 29 waist, and 37 hips. I did not have the dress hemmed. I am 5’10 and wore no heels for my wedding. The dress is valued at over $1600 including the alterations, bustle, and belt. I will include the beautiful belt, which was purchased for $245.
The company uses the description “oyster”. However, many of the photos online look quite bronze. My photos are an accurate depiction of the color. Also, please note that besides the day-of wedding photos and bustle fitting photo, the rest are from AFTER the wedding and professional cleaning. This dress is in fantastic condition. I love looking at it, and I hope that whoever purchases it loves it as much as I do! I only wore it ONCE in May 2012 and after getting the dress cleaned, it was stored in the box.
