Oh and since this thread is about bustle – here’s how I had mine. I wanted something slightly different – I wanted my bustle to be asymmetrical, continuing on with the asymmetry of the dress and the train. I wanted it to mesh in as though the folds were simply getting bigger, and not lose the flow of it. Also, I wanted it to move and sway beautifully and not be too stiff because my husband and I did a ballroom dance. For that same reason, I also wanted it to be movable and comfortable! Yes, my seamstress listened too all my requests – she is a sweetheart ๐Ÿ™‚

These are non-pro pictures the guests took, and some are blurry, but it does give you an idea. I love the bustle almost as much as I love the train. These are during our dance/parents dance.

@redcactus — congrats on your wedding! seeing all your pictures of you looking *so* gorgeous in your dress makes me that much more excited to wear my Fanal on my wedding day!

@leahouse — the oyster color is gorgeous. i was thisclose to buying it instead of ivory. but since i am having a minnesota winter wedding, opted for the ivory since, to me, it was more “snowy” and “wintery” feeling. it would be a great choice though, especially if you have a warm tone to your skin.

Hi again, especially RedCactus & hsearle!

Just to let you know that I bought my dress yesterday! I went back and tried it on again with my Mum & Sister and decided that it was the Oyster one that I loved all along so took the plunge and ordered that one! My sister tried on a black bridesmaid dress at the same time and as long as we are careful about everything else matching to the dress rather than white or ivory it was fine! The shop were fab too and have ordered me a material swatch so that I can make sure everything matches! I dont know what I was worrying about!

Im sooooo excited now and will now be looking at all your bustle pics to get some ideas!

Thanks again for all your help & pictures!

@leahouse — so exciting!! i think the oyster color will be stunning & very unique! i think if you pick anything that has a “champagne” or “light gold” hue to it, it will totally match. the fabric of the fanal gown is so gorgeous & buttery and has such a rich sheen to it! below is a picture of me when i first tried on the gowns — i have the oyster on. like i mentioned, i ended up getting ivory, but i think it would look beautiful with lots of colors! black bmaids dresses will be so classic. we opted for pewter — my bmaid dresses are below. not sure  how i’m going to get mine bustled yet … but i’m thinking of getting the top of my dress modified to a sweetheart neckline … we’ll see!

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 2009 and 2010 La Sposa Fanal dress? And are the pics on this page mostly 2009?

Hi Everyone,

Fantastic to see so much wonderful information online about the dress that I am super keen on!!

As for the above posts I was also considering purchasing from China, given the cost in Australia for this dress AUD $2200

I have a couple of final hesitations about this dress, which I was hoping anyone could provide feedback on.

Firstly I am quite short, 163cm, and I am worried that the dress will make me look even shorter. Is anyone who is wearing this dress short!!

I am also wondering on people’s opinions re. wearing a veil. I have tried on a Pronovias dress which also has some tulle on it, and a veil just matches so well.

What have people opted for regarding this? To choose something that ties in/ matches well.

Any information would be seriously appreciated.

Thanks!!
