Is there such a thing as a lab created colorless diamond??
I stumbled upon Miadonna from Google. Anyone know anything about them?

There is such thing, but they tend to run in smaller sizes, and the cost isn’t that much cheaper than a mined diamond. Gem quality lab created diamonds are difficult to create, therefore they’re expensive. I don’t know anything about Miadonna, but all the rings you’re seeing there under $1k would certainly be CZs.
Here’s an example of a company that sells lab created diamonds, and as you can see, the selection on colorless stones isn’t very big:

I’d say where lab created diamonds are worthwhile are for colored stones; those are priced far below their natural counterparts, and run about the same price as a natural white diamond would.
http://Www.betterthandiamond.com has lab created diamonds. There’s also a brand called Gemesis diamond that’s lab created. I *think* they’re all colored stones though. I don’t know anything about them…though I do like and trust BTD. Hope that helps!
I just posted this in a related thread but thought I’d add it here too. I’ve done a lot of research on lab-created diamonds and I’m trying to share what I’ve found since there isn’t a whole lot of information out there!
I’ve been looking at diamonds for my ring for several months with my partner’s input, and we’ve agreed that we both prefer the ethical and environmentally sustainable nature of lab-created diamonds. Plus we think science is pretty cool and it’s amazing the things technology can do! When I first started looking in January 2012, Gemesis was the only real name out there for white/colourless lab-grown diamonds, and they weren’t selling them at that time. In March their online store went live, and not long after I discovered three more sources of lab-created diamonds. Be sure to check them all out, because there’s a fair amount of variation in stock and pricing right now: Gemesis http://gemesis.com, D.NEA Diamonds http://d.neadiamonds.com/lab-created-diamonds/White-Diamonds, Brilliant Earth http://www.brilliantearth.com/lab-created-diamonds/, and Chatham (which isn’t selling online but lists its stores) http://chatham.com/.
I haven’t made my choice yet but I plan to very soon!
Just to follow up as promised, here is a pic of Mr. Sparkles in all his glory! I ended up buying the diamond from D.NEA; they had the best colour compared to the other sites I listed above. This guy is 0.54ct, F, VVS1 and Very Good, according to GIA. We had it mounted at a local jewellery store and when I checked the loose diamonds on their site, they were charging a third more for an equivalent stone. I’m very happy with it!
Yes, lab diamonds and lab created engagement rings are a real thing. They are similar to natural diamonds in every way (the molecular structure) and can only be told apart by a professional with professional grade tools. The only difference is the manufacturing process.
Yes there are. Aside from colorless lab diamonds, you can also get cultured pink diamonds and cultured yellow diamonds at a great price.
