    @Tracyg123: I personally don’t think it matters. My handwriting sucks so I opted for a calligrapher for my Save-The-Date Cards and plan on having her do my invites too. But it is fairly costly and a great place to cut money if you are under a budget crunch.

    I used them for the STD’s, but had my invite envelopes printed by the company I got them from.  I picked a fancy font and they look great.  It was about $30 to have the outer and inner envelopes done.  Well worth the price!

    My handwriting stinks and I couldn’t afford a calligrapher. I used labels!

    Labels for the Save-The-Date Cards are okay but for invites it should be handwritten or printed on the envelope nicely i.e. not Times New Roman in 12 pt.  But I’m picky.  Don’t even like the wrap around labels.

    I definitely prefer printed right on the envelope but I would certainly think nothing wrong with a label.
