Date: Sept 4/10

Location: Vancouver, BC

Chuggin along over here! I’ve started sewing napkins (holy, huge task!) and I’m working on our invites (which seems to be a never ending process!)

I’m still desperately searching for cafe lights (g40 string lights) that isn’t going to cost me a fortune.

Getting married on Sept. 5th in Philly. We also got a lot done early – booked venue/caterer/cake (all a package), booked DJ and photographer, asked a friend to be our officiant.

Up next is working on the ceremony, deciding on flowers/decor (doing it ourselves probably), and choosing a honeymoon spot. That’s been a big challenge – we need to choose soon because we’re doing a honeymoon registry, but so hard to pick a spot that’s special and affordable.

Hello!  I am Sept 4th 2010 in Michigan.  Things are coming along here – picked out all the big vendors, had a great meeting with my event coordinator to share all my ideas and details so far.

Up next – blocking hotel rooms, addressing STD envelopes so we can send those out in Feb or March, and we still have to register!  Plus I’m hoping to sew napkins too, so I better get working on those.

sept 4th in williamsburg, va!

I have the venue (ceremony and reception) the dress! and i believe i found my photographer and cake baker as well. blocked off rooms as well!

so dj, flowers, attendants attire, jewlery, invitations and reception decor are left….

i gotta get my Save-The-Date Cards out early next month, and register before they go out.

im having issues with my wedding colors though – my sister (MOH) and mother kinda hate my colors so when i pick something i like, they kinda dont say they hate it but poopoo it kinda indirectly so i havent been able to narrow down what color i want my BM’s to wear. *sigh* i will feel MUCH better after thats selected.

Wedding Date: September 4th in Charleston, SC

Planning: Creating our Save-The-Date Cards right now. Already have most vendors–looking for a new photog right now!

We’re working on the details, and I’m losing weight… going to get my dress in June, most likely.

Good luck, ladies!

We’re getting married September 5, 2010 in Pleasanton, CA.

So far we have the venue, caterer (included with venue), cake, DJ, photographer.

We still need to book a florist, get an officiant (eek!) and do the attendant’s attire and invitations.

We sent out Save-The-Date Cards in November, wayyy early bc of the holiday weekend.

Hi Ladies! πŸ™‚

I’m a newbie to this site. πŸ™‚

My fiance and I have changed our date a few times, but think we’ve now settled on:

Date: Sat., Sept. 4th 2010! πŸ™‚ in MA.

We initially were going to have it next year in the Fall, then it got moved to Spring, now it’s this year on Labor Day weekend! Haha.

We just bought a house 2 weeks ago too (AND he proposed for my bday in November!), so we have a lot going on. πŸ™‚ We figured since we were going to get married anyway AND since we just bought the house that if we marry this year, it’d work out best for us.

So, anyway…;)

Now, that I have bout 7 months to plan instead of 2 years..haha..I’m a bit frazzled.

$ is tight for us, as we said, we just bought a house.

Anyone else here planning in 6-7 months time?

I’m already working at booking my venue. It’s a banquet hall with a gazebo! πŸ™‚ It’s a decent place for what it is and has hotels nearby and easy to get to. πŸ™‚ I’m going to invite plenty of Out of Town guests, so figured everything all in 1 place would be good. πŸ™‚ I wanted a fall wedding or spring, but think this date will work well too. πŸ™‚

I’m trying to narrow down the guest list though too to send out STD’s asap as well! Want my guests to know that it’ll be the last weekend of the summer..so they can make plans. πŸ™‚

Okay…umm..sorry for the blabbering.  I’ve never really posted much on a wedding site before…so forgive me. πŸ™‚

Ttyl.

Oops…looks like plans changed again for me! Sigh!

So, looks like not a sept. 4 2010 bride after all..

I’ll post here when I finally am able to figure out my date. πŸ™ (fiance and I working on fixing up our house we just bought…so that’s another reason we haven’t really had time to both sit down and set the date, it’s just been me wanting to set it sooner..haha.)

Neway..thanks. Good luck to you all!

I just got engaged yesterday, but we started the planning about a month ago.  I would have loved to be getting married on Labor Day weekend of 2011, but my best friend chose late summer 2011 for her wedding(s) (one will be in India!) and my fiance and I wanted to avoid that.  So… September 5th, 2010 it is!  Seven months to plan!

We’ve reserved our ceremony/reception venue, photographer, chosen the bridal party and officiant, bought my dress, found a bakery and florist, and worked out a ton of little details including theme and colours.

We NEED to finish our save the dates (the mister works in graphic design and is taking on this wedding stationery project as his baby) soon, and we have got to choose our caterer asap!

@smiles1979: it can be done!  we just bought a house last fall, and we have received half of our first-time homebuyers tax credit.  this will be so useful for us, obviously, since $ will be/has been a constant issue.  another perk of home ownership before the wedding: once you’ve established a home together, it’s easier to see what you need to register for.  good luck!

Great to hear Midwestbride! πŸ™‚ Happy for you! πŸ™‚

My fiance and I are planning on NOT using our FTHB credit on the wedding, but save it for any major house issues. Fiance was deadset against not using it toward wedding. I do agree with our decision in the long run, though a small part of me wishes we could for the wedding, in the short term…hehe.

Anyway, hope all goes well! πŸ™‚

We used the half we already received (we filed jointly) on the house, but the half we’re still due is being put toward the wedding.  I’d have rather it been used toward debt, but what are you going to do?  Labor Day weekend is coming up soon!

Oh I see. that’s cool. πŸ™‚

As for our date, I think we’ve settled on May 14 2011 as our date. Gives us more time to save $ and plan. He’d have the wedding tomorrow if we could (but seeing how his mother is a Justice of the Peace and will be doing the wedding. that’d be easy enough. But I have family all over the country and I want certain main ppl. there and wouldn’t want to get married w/o them (like my Dad, sister, etc. πŸ™‚ )

Anyway, thanks for asking. πŸ™‚
