Well, after a spell of high blood pressure yesterday, my Dr. took blood to run some tests. I got the results back today and they were great, so right now it seems like it is just pregnancy related hypertension.
My Dr. has taken me off work, and told me to cut the salt out of my diet.
Has anyone else dealt with this? I’d love to hear how yours was managed.

@tnbellebee: My mom was just telling me she had to do that when she was pregnant with me.
Be sure to read labels. Salt is hidden in so many things you wouldnt think about. There is more salt typically in a serving of bread than in pretzels. Its the baked in salt that gets you.
We all know to avoid, canned soups, deli meats etc, but also avoid canned beans, veggies, really any prepackaged foods as well as any restaurant (especially restaurant!) prepared foods.
Check the labels on your cheeses, breads (!!!), cereals and condiments like mustard and even your salad dressings. These are hidden sodium bombs often.
You may find yourself making more stuff at home and from scratch because of how much salt is in store bought anything

Well, you know my story. 🙂
I was already on meds so my doc doubled my dosage and it seems to be working beautifully.
Glad to hear your labs came back fine.
