Hi Bees! I need your help- I live alone with my Fiance in Israel, so I don’t have my Mom and Sister to help me find certain things. I bought my Allure Couture C243 gown while I was visiting in the US, but for religious reasons I must add sleeves to the gown, and I don’t like the look of a jacket style bolero.
I am looking for a reverse lace- bolero / t shirt style bolero like the photos below. I like the idea of adding an illusion neckline type of look. Does any one know where I could find one online like this? Did anyone wear something like this for their wedding?
My dress with the model:
What I am looking for:
Or something like this (with lace maybe)

Hi ladies- thank you for the help! Last question, because of the lace detail on the top of my dress, do you think it wil look strange if I have a lace bolero or “topper” that goes OVER the bust, such as the ones I saw on Etsy? Will the lace on lace be too much?
Here’s the top of my dress:
But on the other hand, will it look odd if I tuck the lace topper into the top of my gown?
Ahhhh LOVE my dress but wishing it came with sleeves from the beginning!!!

I would consider going to a tailor and asking them to make you something that works for your dress, as opposed to buying something premade. I don’t think something like in the pictures you posted would be that difficult. Also, that way you can match the lace, or at least make sure the two work together.

Kitty Chen Couture has add-ins like what you’re looking for – in LOTS of different styles. It’s pretty easy to make it look like part of the dress by putting invisible snaps on the INSIDE of your dress and the OUTSIDE of the add-in. Totally do-able!

I believe the first example picture is the bolero from Pronovias Pergola, worn in reverse. I don’t know if you can order it on its own, but you could probably find it used.

The one in the picture you posted is the pronovias pergola with matching bolero. The bride has just worn it back to front, so if you could find a little lace bolero you could ask a seamstress to sew it on back to front.

Hi! What did you wind up doing? I am having the same issue I love a dress but I want sleeves and I’m afraid that it won’t match. Would you mind sharing pictures of what you added?
